We also read in past posts and articles that Noah had asked HS for $$ to buy clothes and MS was angry as she already said no and that he had thousands of dollars in shoes he never wore in his room.

IMO Mary is not acting suspicious I think she lost her best friends and does not know how to live without them. I think MS was frugal like her sister and Barry, I think the kids are not so thoughtful in what or how they spend Barry’s money.

I also think Mary and her husband being so close to Honey and Barry BEFORE Barry was so wealthy, we’re treated very well as he grew his fortune, they would have been his supporters as he built APOTEX.

IMO none of the children helped or supported Barry to get where he was, but Honey, Mary and her husband did. They may have deserved more than us outsiders think.
I agree 100% with what you just said.

I would too, but IMO Barry lead and Honey followed his decision. If she wanted her own will she did not need Barry to be involved.

Now if the discussion was to change BS will that included Honey and her new assets that is different .

looking at the bio of Douglas Hendler on Blaney.com site, he covers corporate & Commercial, corporate finance & Securities and Real Estate. His strength is as a business advisor, structuring business deals I don’t think he does wills Persay, but the last sentence is a WOW for me:

from the Blaney website

Doug represents a number of entrepreneurial clients. His practice is corporate/commercial in nature and transaction-oriented. It includes drafting and negotiating many types of complex documents and agreements; the structuring of business transactions; corporate reorganizations of businesses; assisting and advising with respect to domestic, cross-border and multi-jurisdiction transactions, planning issues and succession planning; the purchase, sale and financing of businesses; the acquisition, leasing, financing and sale of commercial and residential real estate developments and properties; the development of condominium projects; the registration of condominiums and the sale or leasing of the condominium units, as well as advising and assisting with respect to the ongoing operations of condominium corporations.
Doug also acts with respect to the negotiation and completion of complex real estate and commercial financing transactions on behalf of both institutional and private lenders and borrowers, both domestic and cross-border.

My Holy Cow ……. In addition, he acts as an advisor for and lawyer to individuals and families in the planning of their personal and business affairs, including succession and estate planning.

I know someone who knows him and said that he has worked with BS in the past on various projects. I have no idea what the websluth rules are so I hope it’s ok for me to say this.
My source is a lawyer who worked with DH when he worked on stuff for BS.
He has great respect for him.
When he heard that DH called BS ar 9.01 pm on the 13th he said without a second thought.
He must have had a conference call with B and H Re their estate.
Again, apologies if this is not allowed without proof.

MS was frugal? I would say exactly the opposite.

I see Hank Idsinga left the TPS today. He was the Head of Toronto Police Homicide. Seems they go through homicide chiefs like s##t through a goose.
Another loss of continuity on this case. Bring on the next guy……
I have to reluctantly conclude that TOS will never solve this case.

I had the exact same thought. 9:01pm. Essentially 9pm on the nose. When B and H could be home, together, before the hubbub of the season and travels. MOO - it was a scheduled call. And it dealt with the estate/planning/perhaps the money to H from B.

Maybe someone couldn’t bear the thought of having to be cut off, or even pay money back to Barry, due to the lawsuit loss— while at the same time *Honey* was going to be made verrrrrry liquid with a big fat transfer of assets. Speculation. MOO.

Da** it! Hank was a solid guy. I hope he picks up a pen and starts to make millions on a book. Happy retirement, and maybe some consulting?

sorry for dbl post, internet dropping

IMO, it can be both: Frugal every time, they have to pay something and would it be a single bread roll at the bakery. On the other hand all purchases only in a luxury version, whether furniture or fashion or vehicle, for example (but preferably with a celebrity discount of course!).
Idk MS, but I have a picture of her (or HS/BS) in my mind, and I'm comparing with people I know, not at all (!!!) in their $$ category, but with just the same character traits. They are jumping for joy, if they get their bread roll for half the price, then they buy an expensive fur coat (when it was still allowed).

He must be very thankful that he was making a phone call to them and wasn't going to their house in person.

I said this before - I would imagine that Honey would need Barry to delineate the legal and beneficial ownership of their assets and whether they were owned personally/jointly, via shares in a closely held corporation, or a trust. He could also clarify that in the event he predeceased Honey, she would not actually inherit from his estate as it would form a testamentary trust with her as the sole beneficiary.

I don’t get the wow for the last sentence of a bio - he helps with succession planning and that’s what he was doing.
Yes agreed BS would need to provide details, IMO not necessarily do they need to all be on one call.

My Wow moment was because that sentence made me think of BS and JS conversations begging BS to allow JS and AP to be involved with this discussion and be the successor. BS said no and then proceeded to set up discussion with a lawyer possibly making the decision final and JS was running out of options and time before BS chose someone else.

Either way how erie now knowing that they did not answer because someone was controlling and killing them?

Or he could have survivor guilt and wonder if he did go could he have stopped or prevented it.

Curious did DH ever try to call them again after the unanswered 9pm call?

Wondering if JS still considers people in BS's 'worklife' potential poi? imo.
updated 2023 rbbm
''While most of his police interviews focus on Barry’s worklife (or is redacted because it would reveal “persons of interest” Jonathon identifies), police do at one point ask him if he knew his parents’ habit when they arrived home. ''

''The police records show Jonathon is again interviewed the next day (Dec. 24, 2017) but that statement is blacked out in its entirety because it “identifies potential persons of interest,” police documents reveal.''

Great thinking. Add music, pan out to dark shadows with figure sitting in car, cell phone in hand...
Now back to facts..... who is the night walker....

I was thinking this recently: He walked more than 1.3 km on a very cold night through a neighbourhood on high alert due to break-ins in order to kill the Shermans. He’d have to know 100% that he could gain entry into the home uneventfully. How did he know that he could?

It was further than that. He probably walked out to Lesley.
Either by continuing along Ballantyne or turning left at the first street and going to Stubbs to Lesley

They never said that and I wondered too. Maybe he called his work? I think we've only heard about the cell phone records.

I bet he was annoyed that nobody answered the 9:01 call and then when he found out why he felt badly.

Very apt question: how did the WM know he could gain entry to the home so quickly and quietly? Maybe the unlocked back door? Maybe the knowledge someone else was inside?

This brings to mind another question: why is KD so sure that there were two people there? Is this wild speculation? Or has he seen something in the file —or heard something from his sources— that strongly suggests this to him?
