2 children dead after large snake escapes N.B. urban zoo. (cbc.ca)
ETA: thread title notwithstanding, more recent reports have said the snake
was a python; also, the initially reported "urban zoo" is now called a pet store

Let's hope that the owners of that snake get at least the same
sentence that the parents of Shaianna Hare got.

    12 years in prison.

I just read about this. So strange, would the snake do this if he wasn't hungry? Is this a normal behavior even if the snake doesn't want to eat?

    W.T.F.?

I wonder if the "zoo" knew he had escaped? Had the apartment occupants been made aware of the danger?

Another reason why road side "zoos" should be shut down.

This is why Florida is petrified. Yet surprisingly (fingers crossed) we aren't hearing stories like this out of Florida. At least not yet.

OMG! I cannot imagine how terrified those two precious children were. GB them. I totally freaked when I had a black snake in the house about 6 weeks ago. My heart is pounding hearing about this for them.
I'll say it..........WTF??????? Total absolute negligence!
