I wish that their was a MP database for international MP cases. Yes, I’m aware of the Doe Network but it’s not a very fast process when it comes to making a match

It's interesting that you mention an American woman as a possibility Mysteries1974 - have always felt this victim could be American.

My reasoning is all her clothing was purchased in Quebec - leading me to surmise she could have come up from a border state to Quebec with her killer, not knowing he was about to kill her. The killer then drove her to Ontario and killed her. A well planned murder imo.

A suspect in her case is Reid Perley. He had connections to a Indian reservation in Quebec

    Welcome to Ws jinxonfriday!
Thanks for joining us here although i am sorry about what happened to your Dad.
May i ask if he is the same person as the one referenced in this (sad to read) article?
Historicist: The Murder of Emanuel Jaques and the Cleanup of Yonge Street
    June 11, 2016
"As the trial unfolded, countless gruesome and horrific details about Jaques’ murder were revealed. In one of the most heartbreaking moments, Sgt. Paton Weir read a transcription of Betesh’s confession from the early morning hours of August 1.

“Everyone was in on it. They knew I was coming up with the kid. We killed him. He’s on the roof,” Weir read."

"At the beginning of September 2005 Jane collected her father’s car and possessions from Halton Police Detectives, the first thing she observed was “the smell of death” emanating from the trunk. She also found items that clearly belonged to a female and not her father but also an ‘Investment Group’ (IG) card. Oddly enough, when she informed Halton Detectives of what she had found in the car, they immediately attended her residence and collected the ‘IG’ card leaving all the other articles for her to dispose of.

While Halton Detectives visited Jane she inquired if they had considered if Weir and her father were connected, Weir’s body having just been discovered days prior. Jane says “His response was weird. He told me ‘No’ and that they initially suspected that Weir was trying to ‘Stage his own disappearance.’

    Wow.. rbbm.
    https://www.exaronews.com/coroners-office-directs-police-reopen-investigation
"Over 13 years after her father’s untimely death, on August 30th, 2018 Jane was again visited by uniformed Police Officers. This time they told her to expect a call from a Detective. When DC Blair Bolton, Halton Regional Police called her Jane was shocked to hear not only had the Ontario Coroner’s office directed the police to reopen and review the investigation into her father’s death, but DC Bolton was also liaising with Peel Regional Police and the possible link between her father and Weir.

Startlingly, he further confirmed Halton Regional Police had somehow drawn links between the Jane Doe found in Rockwood, Ontario also in August 2005 and this investigation. Jane thinks it was somehow tied into a female DUI that was arrested at the same time. “They gave me the wrong release paperwork when I collected my father’s car. It was for a Ford Escort belonging to a female arrest for a DUI. The officer who called me asked repeatedly about this release form.”

The Ontario Coroner’s Office confirmed the same stating that “Information was recently relayed to our office concerning two deaths that occurred in 2005. As a result, we conducted case reviews and relayed the information given to us with the police services of the jurisdiction for their review and consideration.”

They refused to confirm Halton Regional Police assertion these deaths may be somehow linked to the ‘Rockwood Jane Doe’, the as yet unidentified female found under a sleeping bag in woodlands, by a rest stop just outside of Guelph, Ontario."

They initially convinced me to come in with the possible connection to the Rockwood Jane Doe and then back peddled once in saying "nothing to see here", there was a receipt for a woods brand sleeping bag in my Dad;s car..

Oh wow. So do they think a group of people are responsible for this? If so, it would imply this woman is from the area but had yet to be reported missing?

Edit: just read the article, and that's absolutely terrifying. The fact someone told you to 'be careful' makes me think they're scared. The police should be looking into this ASAP, and should have been since day 1.

Do you remember the items that the female owned? If she had a card, were there any names on there? I'm super intrigued. You also mention a DUI happening regarding a female, is this the Rockwood Jane doe? If so, wouldn't they have her info on file?

Sorry guys, just a lot of new information I didn't know about.

There seemed to be a sense of "panic" when I began asking ?'s right after my Dad's body was recovered, there were red flags everywhere. The document with the DUI females info was attached to my dad's keys, the same Detective must have handled them both on the same shift, last year, during my "interview", he was very interested in that clerical error and made sure I had not retained any of the paperwork...Interestingly, they refuse to admit my Father and Paton Weir(ex Hamilton cop) were friends even though the Manager of the gold club they attended said they were very good friends. It was all swept away in 2005 and again last year, I feel a duty to Jane Doe to help identify her.

I have looked up your dad's name and found some post about his unfortunate passing. I came across your Reddit post and was shocked that more people didn't look into it and comment.

My thoughts are, if there is one cop in this mess, there has to be more. I am starting to think that whoever is involved is either got a strong hand over the police, or they're protecting their own. The fact that they were so nervous about the mishandled paperwork is a huge red flag...

Makes you think how corrupt our world is.

Agreed, I abruptly left Reddit after a member suggested I was mentally ill and said I believed all cops are corrupt, both of which are not true. The original Detective is deceased but Hamilton OPP did not investigate then, and only re-opened the case as the Chief Coroner told them to. I have zero expectations of closure but need to vent from time to time..
