CANADA Canada - Eramosa Twp, Ont, WhtFem 550UFON, 25-45, off Hwy 7, Aug'05

I saw a resemblence between the two women's brows, lips, overall face shape, especially the jaw line. Although the missing woman was not seen since '89, not reported missing until '98, she may have been alive in 2005. If she was not even reported as missing until 9 years after she was last seen, implies she was not close to her family, or had none or that she lived a very transient life. Working in the sex trade it is quite possible she could end up on another side of the country. Elaine's age fit's in the UID's age range and also for height. The UID's body was found in August after being exposed for up to 6 weeks, maybe small scars were not visible from decomposition. There is facial bone damage, that sounds similar to Elaine. Eye socket damage could also be written as cheek if the injury is at the bottom of socket. Were Elaine alive after 1998, the missing teeth could have happened later. I think a match could easily be determined by comparing xrays of the bone injuries if any are available. I think this might be a posssible match worth alerting the authorities to check out.

Please try to match her to the Rockwood Jane Doe 2005 via the DNA database, the Police say she has been ruled out but does not sit right, too many similarities...

Unless I'm reading this wrong, the unidentified woman was found in 2005 and had been dead about 2-6 weeks before being discovered.

The woman from Vancouver was last seen in 1989 and reported missing in 1998.

The missing Vancouver woman had laceration scars on her wrists (suicide attempt?), but there is no mention of such scars on the unidentified woman.

While it's always possible this is a match, I'd have to say in my opinion it's doubtful. Does anyone else have an opinion??
I agree. LE has since said there isn't a match and also as far as distance, I don't see her travelling the long distance from Vancouver to Ontario if she is a drug addict/sex worker. There are similarities in looks but enough differences in that as well as dates found, etc. to not be a match.

I was wondering if Elaine had been ruled out using DNA, that's all. The facial injuries/height/weight similar. Sex trade workers have a habit of travelling province to province. Reported missing in 1998, last seen in 1989 does not mean she could not have been in Ontario in 2005.

Has Gina Smith from Ottawa been ruled out as a possibility?

Interesting. I found another picture of her on FB site missing in Canada. Also an interesting remark.

Three months before Gina Smith was to testify against a former boss (pimp) and lover accused of threatening to bash her head in with a hammer, she disappeared. Missing in Canada

yes! i saw that last night, interesting. hope it has been investigated.

Could she be Tammy Churcher?

"Tammy CHURCHER was last seen in the Province of Quebec, Canada, in December 2003. Tammy's home was in Courtland, Ontario, near Tillsonburg (southeast of London, Ontario)."

Her home was only an hour and a half away from where the remains were located. (Map attached below.)

My Theory: I think If this is Tammy she might have been hitchhiking back home from her last destination. I have always thought there was a truck driver in the Ontario area that is targeting women (for example the Bowmanville jane doe). The body in Rockwood was found near a resting station frequently used by truckers and motorist.
Hello Tammy is my sister I am just catching up on your thread. The OPP did not tell the family that they had any leads . Although they did give us other information.... Any help would be so appreciated! Thank you!

After looking into this further, I have come to realize that the probability of this, missing woman, being my sister,Tammy, is extremely low. .. I am still searching, everyday. Not just for me, but for the three children, she left behind. .

Hello Jessica,

the Surete du Quebec released new information regarding Tammy Churcher yesterday with their new Cold Cases website. Tammy Churcher was a victim of a homicide that happened in Québec (Tammy Churcher – Cold cases). Her body nor remains have been found to this day.

She was picked up by a trucker, a witness also stated the truck had Québec plates but that remains unproven.

Welcome to Ws @Auditz!
Based on that article, i started this thread which may also be of interest to you..

Tammy Churcher has been mentioned on this thread by @GimpyFrog (her sister), @jessica-, and @Auditz, and I believe jessica- submitted the potential ID to OPP, but has anyone ever seen a definitive answer/rule-out from law enforcement about Tammy? The facial comparisons by jessica- were pretty compelling imo. Has anyone else submitted Tammy?
