Florence Marie Parkkari was found brutally murdered in her bedroom on November 23rd,1997. She was 64 years old.

Detectives believe she died between 9:15pm Saturday night and when she was found at her home in the 100 block of Gloucester Crescent S.W.

    [...]

For years, police believed the killer or killers were between 16 and 20 years old and may have gained access to Parkkari’s home using a doggie door at the back of the house. But now investigators could be searching for someone older.

"Investigators say suspect profiling initially led them to believe Parkkari's killer or killers were youth.

However, the new information they have received now leads them to believe she was probably killed by an adult or adults whom she knew.

Police are reviewing surveillance videos from the area. Anyone who may have information about the homicide is asked to call police at 403-266-1234 or Crime Stoppers."
