That's a pretty large bag he is carrying and it looks full but without knowing further details about the case, it's difficult to know if it is significant or not.

His place of employment (in Ottawa) has posted and appeal on fb, but there's no new info. According to news articles he left home on a Friday and was last seen in Toronto two days later.

My questions: Was he supposed to return to work the following Monday? Would he have needed a large bag for just a couple of days? Did he take days off work? Did he tell anyone of his weekend plans? Who reported him missing by Wednesday? Family/friends or the employer?

It's hard to believe there have been no sightings of Konstantin yet. Where did he go?

So I want to get this straight, missing on the 5th, seen on the 6th he was in Kingston, the 7th in Toronto (makes sense, as this is the train route from Ottawa) but no one had any idea where he was headed or where/why/how long he was going? A weekend getaway gone awry? Trying to start a new life?

Kingston is 2 hours away by train, so I'm confused as to what happened between the 5th and the 6th. Being in Union station on the 7th also doesn't make much sense, it's about 4 hours from Kingston to Toronto. Theoretically, he could make it there in a single 6-hour trip, on a single train (wouldn't have to get off at Kingston). Who did he see in Kingston, and why did he move on to Toronto? Doesn't seem like a weekend trip to me...

Bumping this to note that while links seem to still be up, the police posts seem to be taken down. This happened right after that body was found in a Scarborough ravine, so I wonder if the two cases may be related. Both never updated with info.

Based on this article from May 8th, I doubt they would be connected. Toronto Police are still looking for info...

Toronto police concerned for the safety of man missing since early March
You're absolutely right, I would think they would check against missing people from the area first. I was under the impression that the police report had been taken down, but it seems that is only the case in the Ottawa files. Transferred to Toronto police as that is his last known whereabouts.

New info from this article

"
KONSTANTIN BOUKHANOV

WHEN:
March 8, 2021

411: Boukhanov was supposed to meet his father to pick up a bed for his Ottawa apartment. He never showed. Pals said he had been talking about “doomsday prepping” and living in the woods. He cashed his last paycheque and cops say his path led to Union Station. Here, he rented a storage unit in the east end and left a few of his belongings behind."

His physical description is incorrect, he is 5'9" and 148 pounds. His boss reported him as missing when he didn't show up for work the following Monday. His trip was unexpected and the stop in Kingston was thought to be for sight-seeing. The storage locker went past due and was reported to Toronto Police which is standard practice. The statement related to dooms-day prepping may have been misinterpreted as he had a keen interest in living off the land. Let's help find Konstantin.

Oh dear. The talk of "Doomsday prepping" doesn't sound good.
He could be living off grid in a cabin anywhere in rural Canada!
