''Police in northern New Brunswick are treating the recent disappearance of a 14-year-old girl as suspicious.

According to the Bathurst Police Force, a ground search and rescue team is looking through a “specific area” in the Chaleur region on Wednesday as part of the investigation.

Madison Roy-Boudreau was last seen on May 11 at around 7:30 a.m. Her friends and family have not heard from her since.''

''According to a statement from police Chief Stephane Roy, the teen was seen getting into a grey Ford Ranger pickup truck that morning.

Police have since found and seized that vehicle “with the assistance of the public.”

Police suspend search for 14-year-old girl in Bathurst, N.B. due to rainy weather
''Rainy conditions in and around Bathurst, N.B., have prompted authorities to temporarily suspend the search for a 14-year-old girl who has been missing for more than a week.''

''Authorities in Bathurst have located and seized the grey Ford truck that Madison was last seen in at 7:30 that morning.''

''She was last spotted wearing a grey sweater, a pair of camouflage-coloured pants and silver shoes.

''No new leads have been found in the search for a missing Bathurst teenager, but an official says search crews are also looking for evidence in the event there are future criminal proceedings.

City of Bathurst spokesperson Luc Foulem said Madison Roy-Boudreau's disappearance is being investigated as "a suspicious act," and so investigators are limiting the amount of information released to the public to ensure any of those potential proceedings are not compromised.

"In our particular case, we're not talking about a missing person report. We've been investigating this as a suspicious act, and we have to make sure that people understand that nuance in the sense that we're not only looking for Madison Roy-Boudreau, we're also looking for evidence that would be used in criminal proceedings that would be followed up in the next while," said Foulem, in an interview Friday.

''Police said the pickup truck was seized, but won't reveal information about the owner, or whether they have theories about Roy-Boudreau's disappearance.''

''Roy-Boudreau is five feet four inches tall and 119 pounds, with brown eyes and medium-length brown hair. ''

This is local to my hometown (Miramichi) although I'm now living in Grand Barachois.

Trying to find updates as the radio just stated the quarry search is shot down for a spell:

    CBC has it:
Search of Bathurst quarry for teenage girl could take days, but city hopeful | CBC News
Nothing turned up thus far in quarry search:
Bathurst quarry search yields no signs of missing teenage girl | CBC News

And temporarily suspended - weather is terrible here right now - severe thunder/lightening/extremely strong winds:
Police suspend search for 14-year-old girl in Bathurst, N.B. due to rainy weather | CTV News

But, quarry is being kept sealed off until they can resume:

I think I’m missing a big chunk of this. There must be other articles about her. Like who saw her getting into a truck? Who owns the truck? Where was she supposed to be going? Lots more questions

There is very limited information being given in this case and since officers have the truck, I will assume there is something found there that isn't good. I hope the rain clears soon so searches can continue and this case can be solved.

''City of Bathurst spokesperson Luc Foulem said if there are no substantial developments, a briefing note would be sent around 3:30 p.m. Monday.

About 30 members of the RCMP, the Bathurst Police Force and search and rescue organizations have been searching a quarry site near Highway 11 and St. Anne Street.

Monday will be the fourth day at the quarry site for searchers. Foulem said they would continue to search there for the next 48 hours, as the site was "identified as being of interest in the investigation process."

    School providing support to students
The girl's father, Jason Boudreau, spoke to Radio-Canada, saying he is in frequent contact with the police and still holds out hope that his daughter will be found safe.

Meredith Caissie, spokesperson for the Anglophone School District North, confirmed in an email that Roy-Boudreau is enrolled in one of the district's schools.''

I’m not sure it is common but Madison is a mainstream name. Her last name is hyphenated and French. French names and the French language are very common in New Brunswick.

    Welcome to Ws Wagg007!
Have not yet located a press conference with Madison's family, they must be living a nightmare right now, imo.
