So much conflicting information in the newspaper reporting on this case.
I'd found one Hungarian article that had said they were given information regarding the extradition proceedings which they had said they received from " a press release sent to our newspaper by the Metropolitan Court" A magyar rendőrség "fejvadászai" kapták el a Kanadában gyilkoló milliomoscsemetéket | 24.hu

I hope she sings like a bird. I wonder where her home is for now... Barton St. jail?

Lucy Li returns to Canada to face Hamilton murder charge

Police had the opportunity to talk to Li, he said, but would not disclose whether she has provided any information.

“The drive now to bring Oliver home is paramount,” Callender said.

    ...

Karafa, who is also a citizen of neighbouring Slovakia, is fighting extradition and remains in custody in Hungary. Callender said his understanding is that Karafa’s extradition hearing is scheduled for Wednesday. A court decision is expected to be relatively quick. However, Karafa could have the opportunity to appeal.

On this morning's newscast (CHCH), they reported that Lucy Li is to appear in court today while Oliver Karafa continues to fight extradition in Hungary.

So she's being held in Milton (Vanier Centre for Women). Sounds nicer than Barton St. jail -- pity. Next court date for her is August 24th.

Hungarian extradition hearing adjourned for man accused of murder in Hamilton

A court in Hungary has adjourned the extradition hearing for accused murderer Oliver Karafa in order to gather more information on his case from Canadian authorities.

The court ruled Friday that Karafa will be incarcerated in the meantime, according to an email sent to The Spectator from the media office at the Metropolitan Court in Budapest, and a new extradition trial date set after the court communicates with the Department of Justice in Ottawa.

Seems the delay tactics are working so far...

Oliver Karafa extradition hearing postponed in Budapest

Accused murderer Oliver Karafa has once again had his extradition hearing delayed in Hungary.

In a statement, the Metropolitan Court of Budapest said the extradition hearing was postponed Tuesday after the defence applied for more information from Canadian judicial authorities.

The next trial date will be set after receiving the additional information.

Yesterday's article has been updated. Apparently he has concerns for his safety if he is returned to Canada. Oh and his team is looking into the victim's background. I guess they are hoping it's his own fault he was murdered? What a joke.

‘Life and death’ safety concerns delay Oliver Karafa extradition hearing in Budapest

...concerns about his safety and right to a fair trial in Hamilton.

...the courts sought more information and assurances about what would happen to him in Canada...

Karafa... said that it wasn’t just a matter of extradition to Canada but a matter of life and death.

Karafa’s lawyers had requested more information from Canadian authorities this summer around safety at the Hamilton-Wentworth Detention Centre and concerns around Hamilton police conducting a fair investigation.

...they said the replies received were general and did not address Karafa’s specific concerns. They cited media reports, including ones about problems at the Barton Street jail.

Karafa’s defence team also indicated they have hired a private investigator to look into Pratt and wanted to wait for the results of that investigation, which would take three to four weeks.

...Canadian lawyer Leora Shemesh confirmed she is representing Karafa...

The next date is expected to be in November.
