'Hong Kong police said Sunday that it had opened an investigation into animal cruelty after a man posted on Facebook photos showing a dog trapped in a washing machine.
In the photos released by the dog owner, Jacky Lo, you see a small white dog clinging to the rim of the washing machine, trying desperately to get out and keep its head above water in a Machine marching at full speed.'

I don't trust myself to comment on this, so I'll just post the story. It may be a teenager and not a man, from other stories in French I've read. The culprit is named Jacky Lo on Facebook anyhow. I did find a page but haven't linked as I'm not on FB so it's hard for me to be sure it's the right one.

There's been 20,000 protests so far, and rising.

'Instead of showing remorse, he said: "Why do I have to be afraid of you?". Lo also told Agnes that he was not afraid of anything, and that he did not even consider abuse to human beings a problem.'

'An expert the Hong Kong daily spoke to said that the dog would have probably suffered broken limbs as a result of being spun around in a washing machine.'
