    Part of the article from England;

"I found an advert from a sex worker in a magazine for the disabled," Wallis said. "The initial contact was by email and then by phone."

It was arranged for the prostitute to visit Wallis' home while his parents went out.
"It was a decision two years in the making and I discussed it with my carers and my parents. Telling my mother and father was the hardest part, but in the end they gave me their support," Wallis told the Telegraph.

The hospice staff consulted a solicitor, clergy, and health care professionals before agreeing to assist Wallis.

Sister Frances, the founder of the hospice, described Wallis as "delightful, intelligent and aware young man."

"I know that some people will say 'You are a Christian foundation. What are you thinking about?' But we are here for all faiths and none," she said.

Sounds like a very nice bit of charity. There's nothing to stop him - no worry of disease, no thoughts about his future wife - he's dying.

I don't think that Hospice should do these sort of services.

A young disabled man who receives care for his life-limiting illness at a hospice run by a nun spoke yesterday of his decision to use a prostitute to experience sex before he dies.

Sister Frances Dominica gave her support to 22-year-old Nick Wallis, who was born with Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Sufferers usually die by their thirties.

It was arranged for the prostitute to visit his home in Northampton. "My parents went out," he said.

I hope that Sister Frances Dominica and the Douglas House hospice listen to those words and do not grant a wish like that again. Just my opinion.

This puts a whole new spin on the term "hospice volunteer".

Big difference between sex and making love, which the young man found out.

I can see why he wanted to find out himself. I'm not sure what to think about the Hospice's role in it. Is the hospice service private or public?

So, now he can kick back and enjoy the little bit of enjoyment he has left and not feel he is missing out on anything.

Um I truly do not mean to be insensitive but doesn't his disease cause his lower body to be "unusable" in a sexual way? If so, perhaps what he experienced wasn't intercourse? It says they assisted him. I took that to mean they were physically in the room literally supporting him in some way. I am not saying I agree with the hospice's part in helping him fulfill his wish but I can see wanting to know what sex is like before you die.

In reality as bad as this sounds, but this young man seems to be looking out for others even though he is the one with the illness. He could probably find a girlfriend. I know many ill/disabled people that have significant others. He also knows that he is going to die. If he were to find someone, he knows he would cause them pain by dying. So he wanted to know what the experience was like. There are many guys/girls that go to the bar and just find someone to fill their needs. It sounds to me like he chose to talk to the hospice and the clergy to see if he would be sinning, etc. For once I think this was actually a responsible choice. It was pre-planned, he obviously doesn't have any diseases. If she does it isn't going to affect his life outcome if he were to contract it. He knew what he was "paying" for after all. This way he won't have to get his hopes up about a relationship. Even if he had not consulted the hospice or clergy. I feel that this is the right choice. This is the first instance where I feel prostitution is ok. It is sad he doesn't feel love for a signifact other, or have it in return. Although when it is his time, it will probably make it alot easier to let go. He won't have to fear he is hurting anyone else.

Ok with that said, please feel free to bash my post. I know there are many with the opposite opinion, and can understand why.

who was hurt? nobody. this fella learned something that many never learn. love and sex are not the same thing.

i think it showed compassion above and beyond the call for hospice staff to help this man.

Okay, talk about "Make A Wish". Wonder if this will catch on. An 'escort' service for the terminally ill 20 something virgins in the world. Hey, like it or not, it would probably be very lucrative. :D

Good for him and good for everyone who made it possible for him to experience sex! I think that's awesome. He should have a standing "date" so he can find out it gets better with practice! I'd hate for my first time to be the only one I remembered...

I think it's wonderful that they helped him do this.

But then, I think prostitution should be legal.

I do not think it is wrong unless the taxpayers end up paying for protitutes. I see a problem with that, since they are illegal. That's why I asked who provides the hospice services.

That being said, I can see why the young man arranged it and it sounds like it was done with dignity and respect. Prostitution is among several things I'd like to see legalized.
