CO - 3 killed in shootout near/at Planned Parenthood in Colorado Springs, 27 Nov 2015 *Arrest*

There are so few institutions of the sort this man may need -- many have been de-funded & closed. There is one federal prison/hospital and 3 state-affiliated hospitals in my state of NC -- that's all, folks. As we've already discussed, there are just not enuff in any state anymore -- they're disappearing. We have a few NC prisons who have an adequate staff and psychiatric hospital, but of course, you have to be within the NC prison system for that.

And there are the streets, where so many of them are.

I was thinking a Federal prison with psych would be idea. But, I went back and can't find any Federal charges. You'd think killing an LE would be such.

but wow at one theatre alone they are spooling it 34 times (not a typo!) tomm it is playing 24 hours a day!! non stop

in fact there were more past midnight screenings than during the day!

The future has arrived folks! Disney World just installed metal detectors !

Regal Cinemas, the biggest movie-theater chain in the United States, will start to search ticket-buyers' bags before they enter any of its movie .

I thought this was brillant :
Just to unpack that for a minute: Is he really saying that expecting to not be murdered at the movies is the functional equivalent of seeing a movie that isn’t in 3D? That staying alive through the end credits is some extra-special treat, like an Imax screen?

...Just like it’s possible that the meaningful way of addressing gun violence in a country that experiences this type of atrocity with alarming regularity is not for the person who rips your ticket stub in two to also paw through every purse for a firearm....

just capitalizing on a couple of tragedies as an excuse to search everyone’s bags for those snacks you brought from home.)

Admitted Planned Parenthood shooter moved for mental evaluation

Robert Dear, admitted Planned Parenthood, has been transferred to a state hospital for a mental competency exam.

57-year-old Dear is awaiting the test after a judge refused to delay it at defense attorneys’ request.

The chief judge of El Paso County’s 4th Judicial District has 20 days to explain why he won’t release arrest affidavits and court records related to the Robert Dear trial.

The Colorado Supreme Court is forcing the judge to explain why he’s keeping that information private.

“Once an arrest warrant has been issued and the defendant is formally charged, they records are unsealed. That's pretty typical,” said attorney Steven Zansberg.

...
“I've never seen a case where an entire arrest affidavit has been sealed,” said attorney Jeremy Loew.

He said if the court can justify why those records threaten the judicial process, Martinez’s ruling could be upheld. But, he said, with the ability to redact and keep out pertinent information, it’s difficult to have the whole thing sealed.
