The El Paso County Sheriff's Office is searching for 11-year-old boy who ran away from home.
He was wearing a blue jacket and jeans when he left his house.

He is 4'9" and weights 90 pounds.

Gannon Stauch of Colorado Springs left home on foot around 3:15 p.m. to go play at a friend's house, his parents say, but never came home.

Gannon was wearing a blue hoodie, blue jeans and tennis shoes when he went missing. He has brown hair with brown eyes and weighs 90 pounds.
The EPC Sheriff's Office is asking you to call 719-390-5555 if you have seen Gannon or know of his whereabouts.‬

The last known sighting of Stauch was Monday afternoon between 3 and 4 p.m. in the Lorson Ranch neighborhood at his home. He lives along Mandan Drive east of Colorado Springs near Fontaine Boulevard and Marksheffel. He was reportedly going to visit his friend a few streets away.

Gannon's father is a member of the National Guard, and the Guard is assisting with search efforts.

Due to his age and expected weather, the Major Crimes Unit is assisting in the search because they have more tools at their disposal.

Common sense tell members that Dan May does not show up for a runaway kid, LE does not have crime lab techs going through a house or LE digging endlessly through snowbanks if they think, or are wanting the public to think, they are looking for a live runaway.

When my ex was sentenced in KS, I had to learn about the system, so I would know what the court was talking about. I have never even had a parking ticket.
So yeah, it will be a long process.

Neither would be motivating to her. She has no conscience. And while I don’t think she has a clue about how much LE has discovered, once she finds out, my guess is it will only amp her hostility and her conviction that they’re not going to win. She has to be right. There can’t be any concessions from her unless it’s simply a temporary springboard to her next manipulation.

Like when she conceded she left her phone at home after she saw on social media that was being theorized. But that admission became her launching pad into another story of why this isn’t her fault, and besides he’s alive.

We have to remember that it’s Gannon’s fault that any of this happened, and when it’s not Gannon’s fault, it’s his mother’s fault. And then his father’s. And now LE because they had the nerve to question her and not get her a team of lawyers to decode the questions for her. Etc., etc.

Tammy Moorer lowered her head, looked coy, and painted on a sad face when she was taken into custody, and we didn’t see the bravado for a time. But she was soon back to the brazenly callous Tammy we all came to know and loathe. To this day, just over 6 years later, she has not given up where Heather is, and never will. It’s easier for her, perhaps, because there’s no physical evidence of a murder, but it’s stunning that neither she or her cowardly partner in crime husband could be broken or incentivized. Tammy had to win, and with a smirk on her face, as Heather’s parents begged to know where their daughter is.

It’s possible LE/FBI behavior specialists have some insightful tricks into unraveling LS and what it will take to get her to talk, but they appear to me to be proceeding with the belief that she will never tell and Gannon may not be found. I think they’re looking hard and not giving up but some of these killers are stoic in the presence of overwhelming evidence against them and still have to be the smarter one that wins.

I’ve been trying to catch up, but am sure I’ve missed a lot as I’ve been skimming. I’ve been in a funk since Monday over this. I just keep thinking of his parents and sister and other family members who are devastated. The one thing I feel to be true is that Gannon's mom seems like a purely good soul. She’s handled herself with such grace. I absolutely love how Gannon's parents are leaning on each other. I hope it lasts. I hate they live in separate states bc only one will have Laina most of the time and I’m sure she’ll play a huge part in their eventual healing.

One question (I apologize if it’s been explained), is it about known when the preliminary hearing will be and how much will we learn then?

I feel the same about Landen, she is a purely good soul. Befriending and trusting TS was a mistake. From the beginning, I think TS was jealous and felt threatened by Landen's beauty and purely good soul. So, TS has undermined and acted in ways to destroy her. Now, TS took her son and in a heinous manner.

But somehow within all of this horror, I cannot help but feel that there will be some form of victory for her. Like the power of the universe is in her corner.

Despite all, AS needs Landen's strength and understanding to pull through this. And perhaps AS's need will pull her through. I imagine both have a stronger need to be with their daughter. And Landen will want to in CO for the trial. Plus, the military may show compassion and transfer him if he needs.

I truly want the best for them.

once a person is arrested and miranda-ized, if they decide to keep talking, would that really affect their trial? imo she appeared to decline whatever was offered in favour of laura’s lawyer but again judge says not necessary for extradition hearing.

i’m thinking this woman’s inability to shut up is going to sink her and i’m hopeful.

in the pre-spraining, do we think it was only explainations for evidence already discovered by LE or do we have an idea that any could have been CYA just in case. just thinking whether in her excuse making it could pop out further detail as to locations of GS. i think candle video was CYA to give an excuse in advance why (in my opinion and completely unconfirmed) the carpet was removed and possibly replaced in the basement so quickly.

I completely agree that her lies are woven with bits of truth. It’s why I do believe the blood came from his head, yet she doesn’t explain how that can possibly get on the floor. I was trying to figure out how the wood plank fit into this, people are saying a 2x4, which I don’t believe was verified, but that is a heavy wood to swing around. I am wondering if she was a spanker and regularly used a wood paddle type of thing?

I am a tiny and not very strong person, and I don’t think 2 X 4s are particularly heavy. It was likely a piece cut down to a yard or less in length. That’s not heavy, and I could carry an armload of those. Pretty sure I could swing one without much effort. And I know I could throw one pretty far because I’ve tossed dozens onto piles before.

The candle was not mentioned once in the torture video.
She asked if he had done something unspecified intentionally. The carpet and the candle were both excuses TS used in susbsequent fb posts. When Gannon said it was an accident there were no indicators that he was referring to a candle, carpet or any such item..
It is possible he had an episode of incontinence following either a beating, incorrect diet, a medical condition that preexisted or something else entirely.

There may have been candles and carpets but I think we need to await the exhibit list for confirmation. I believe the video of the exchange is grounds in it's entirety for charges of child abuse, it is evidence of child abuse, in fact but I imagine they have much more than that.

Speculation : Can people be arrested and charged if they, say, took and hid Gannon's electronics, bloody clothing, tools or anything that would have his dna on it ?

If he was vomiting and after his death LS took (what she would term 'Gannons' mess' ) rugs or anything from the house and told a family member of her to dispose of it -- would they be at risk of being charged if they knew it was connected to Gannon and didn't call LE ?
I'm assuming the answer is 'yes'.
But I wanted to ask it to be sure !

May I ask how it ends. I saw it before but had to turn off it made me feel sick.

What I mean is, if as she claims it was filming 'accidentally' does it end with her realising its filming or does it just go off?

This is not directed at any specific person, but this case is bad enough without all the rumors.

I had my husband (i don't facebook) download the "candle video" directly from LS facebook page right after it was posted. The video that was posted on her facebook that we downloaded directly from facebook does not have the "I'm bleeding" part in it.

Maybe there are two videos, or maybe she got hacked and the "im bleeding" video is a 2nd one that has gotten out, i don't know. but i am pretty sure that video is edited and the "im bleeding" part was added by an attention hungry youtuber.

I don't think her initial assault on GS was intended to kill him.

I DO think once she realized she'd gone much too far, and that there was no concealing and/or explaining away the injuries to his body, she did in fact decide to murder him.

While her initial assault was likely rage-related, her subsequent plan to murder and conceal his body was very much premeditated.

She decided she needed to get rid of GS in order to avoid all the serious consequences that she could see coming her way for having hurt him so badly.

There's no doubt in my mind that she planned how and where she would kill him, and that when they left together in the truck Monday morning, it was solely for the purpose of her executing that plan, which included executing GS.

She took that bloody board in the truck that day and tossed it in the woods b/c she knew it was a damning piece of evidence.

She also knew GS himself was the biggest, most incriminating evidence against her.

She tossed him, just like she tossed that board.

TS doesn't differentiate between human beings and boards.
She objectifies other people.
Her "relationships" are strictly utilitarian in nature.
As long as other people serve a purpose to her, she keeps them around.
If they pose a problem to her, she disposes of them...one way or the other.

That monster had no intention of bringing Gannon home alive with her when she left in the truck that day.

I really believe this is likely true. She had to have planned to kill him to cover up her abuse -- like a rapist who kills his victim to keep her from identifying him. And, she most likely dumped his body somewhere -- is there any non-frozen water nearby (hot springs or water-treatment plant)? Because, she would have a difficult time carrying him very far, or digging in frozen ground. She wouldn't have gone too far away from her vehicle, unless she made him walk to the spot where she killed him. Even then, not too far from a road.

A normal person (not really because normal people don't injure children), but a half-way normal abuser, would have seen what she'd done to the child, relent, and take him to a hospital -- perhaps lie about what happened. But, TS didn't -- instead, she doubled-down and killed the child.

I am haunted by a mental image of that helpless boy riding in the truck with his murderer, and going silently and innocently to his death.
