Could it be possible this person found the body too heavy to carry any futher off the road??
I suspect this monster cut her fingers off because of the DNA under her finger nails, also.
IMO it is someone in that 11 mile radius...other wise they would have driven her futher away before leaving the backpack and body so close....imo [OUOTE]
It is hard to get into the mind of someone capable of doing this and think for them. The 'he would have done this if' just doesnt seem to work. Frankly I dont think it is doable to get in the mind of someone like this at least not for a layperson. Why he did what he did and where he did it and how it did it makes sense to him only.
I dont think he necessarily had to be in a rush. Some pedophiles display their victims in wide open spaces above ground. Some can pose the victims in sexual ways. Some may be proud of their 'work' and want the victim to be found.
Somehow he was able to carrying the dismembered remains 25 feet from the road. Imo, that is the place he decided to leave her........not that he wasnt able of carrying it further.

Last 2 paragraphs BBM...I completely agree. I didn't follow Samantha Runnion's case much after they found here, and I was also a lot younger. But I do remember them thinking that because she was left out in the open, with no attempt to hide her, that it was a sign that he didn't care, and they believed he'd strike again.
I'm getting more interested in this guy. If he was familiar with all these recreation area's and parks maybe he saw little Jessica at the park where she met up with her friends to go to her school. Maybe he saw her a few times and possibly even stalked her. I do feel this guy could have escalated to like what happened to Jessica. Maybe he was a transient hanging out at parks, recreation area's ect...I'm wondering where he went for a about a year? What happened? Was he arrested or something? Jail time maybe for another offense? I am interested in this guy.
Was Jessica found near a park or recreation area?
I'm really interested and want to know more if anyone knows in this little girls attempted abduction?
Recap of the Incidents:
Attempted Child Abduction Incidents
On Saturday, November 12, 2011, just after 3:00 p.m. in the area of Danny Kendrick Park (7000 Ward Road) and the Apex Recreation Center. Arvada Police were called to the area on a report of an attempted child abduction involving a 12-year-old Arvada girl.
I have been trying to catch up on this loooonngg thread of comments. I am wondering if the backpack/water bottle was placed to keep LE focused on that area while he was getting rid of her body. I also wonder what time Jessica's neighborhood is scheduled for trash pickup? Could it be a waste management employee that knows the streets very well but doesn't live in the area. I notice that on the map North/East/South involve something but there is nothing coming from the West side. I am wondering if whoever it is lives West of Jessica's home. Just my thoughts.
I didn't mean that no crime had ever been committed by a concealed carry holder ever, I simply said that I had not heard of one. And with the low stats I see why and I greatly appreciate your link so I can read up on it! Thank you.
I would love to see stats on how many carry holders lives were saved because of their guns. 457 murders is extremely low considering the number of license holders in the US currently (and in the past since many of the murders are dated). I wish I had the time to go through and add up all the concealed carry permits on the US, there are almost one million licenses in the state of FL alone. So this murder stat is very low. Still very sad that it occurs though. But I could assure you that more lives have been saved than taken with this and I wish I had the time to find a link to do so. Personally I know as a small female I would probably be at the mercy of any attacker and my gun would be my only saving grace and makes me feel safe at night. Sorry this is OT but its a very interesting one to me!
Does anyone know of any cases where two perps were committing crimes separately but knew each other and knew of the crimes the other was committing? I hope that makes sense.
Like child porn rings......a lot of times they know each other and share pictures and stories. Has any one heard of murderers doing that? Or perps who offend seperately sometimes and together other times?
There are many, but since we are on a child abduction and murder - Otis Toole and Henry Lee Lucas are one example.
JMO of course....
After reading and pondering over all the recent threads, this is a summary of what I think are the basics...
-I think the backpack drop was an attempt to misdirect LE into searching in the wrong area because they needed to get rid of the body and they felt by placing the BP in an obvious spot with her name on the bottle, it would be found quickly and begin searches in the totally wrong area. The BP drop was probably done last because their first goal was getting rid of the body remains.
-I think the perp(s) knew about the previous news about that close house was where a previous murder of a child took place, so he must have been a local person that new about that news when that previous murder of the child took place. This is why he chose to put the BP there. OR, if there was SO living in the area, that could be another reason, but either way, he knew something about the homes where he placed it, so he is local.
-I think the body was dismembered in an attempt to make it more difficult to identify the body and buy more time. I think only certain torso type parts were in that bag, and there is another spot where other remains will be found. The other spot with the rest of the remains will be relatively close to the culvert pipe spot. I think he dropped off the other set(s) of remains really close to the culvert pipe area, but some driving distance away. It would not be in the immediate area, but pretty close driving distance. He wanted to dump quickly all the remains. He probably had 2 or 3 bags of remains, and kept pulling over to dump all of them in different spots. Probably 10 miles max to the other spot(s). Maybe even other culvert pipes going under roads would be a good bet.
-I think the location of the bag was in the culvert pipe, and animals drug it out to the trees in the short distance. Animals like possums, racoons, skunks, and of course coyotes can easily drag the remains to the tree area. The animals get scared of cars being so close to the road, so they will typically drag the remains far enough away so they can feed uninterupted.
I really think the person just quickly pulled over + put the bag in the culvert pipe, and quickly pulled away, not realizing that animals will typically drag it out and tear the bag open. The person had hoped it would stay hidden for a long time. This tells me he is still local person and probably still living in the general area. General meaning anywhere close to abudction area, BP, or body remains.
-This person is relatively young based on all the simple mistakes made so far. I would put the age range about 20-45, but thinking he is probbly 20-35 max.
-The vehicle will either have a trunk or a truck bed because I dont thinik the person would transport the bag with the remains in a backseat. The person did not want the blood dripping on seats. Vehicle had to have a trunk or truck bed or trailer or something that kept the remains from not staining the main vehicle area.
-The person does not want to get caught, and is very worried. He is just a very immature type person who has some sort of serious mental issues. He may have even been treated for mental issues The person knows he has issues, and uses this as an excuse for why he did what he did. I am afraid he will strike agan within the year. It is very important he is caught because he will build up confidence the more time goes by if he is not caught. If he strikes again, he will use a similar approach and basically do similar to what he has done already.
Hopefully, I am doing this correct.
My theory is that since she went missing between her house & the park (where she was supposed to meet her friend)....LE should be looking really hard at the houses that she passed along her way. She would pass there every morning..so she may have a friendly 'relationship' with that person. Maybe it was someone out walking their dog.
Think: Breann Rodriguez & Somer Thompson
My second theory is that perhaps this person does NOT have a car, nor access to one. (Thinking it may be a young person). As the locals have pointed out, a biker wouldn't draw any attention to themselves Also, this would be the reason why they had to make the body 'smaller' (to fit into a backpack)
My third theory pertaining to the 'evidence planting' at different places....is that those are 'red herrings' to bring the attention away from their location. Seems like they are going north, south, east, west.......but all within a few miles (no car).
There was a Canadian software developer that came out with this program where they could put in the addresses where crimes occurred ...and it could locate where the perp lived. (this crime was a serial rapist) it pinpointed a six-block radius....and indeed he did live within.
Hopefully, they catch this monster soon. Prayers to Jessica & her family.
TxLady2 had a good thought. How did he kidnap her if he was on a bicycle? That would prove rather difficult, especially since it was snowing. He had to have access to a motor vehicle of some sort.
I don't think that he was on foot or bicycle when he disposed of her remains either.
JMO, IMO, :moo:, and all other disclaimers.

"If the parents can possibly add a little different level of
protection right now until this situation is resolved, I think that
would be warranted," Bob Pence, the former FBI special agent in charge for Colorado, told 7NEWS Monday.
"Anyone that's capable of an act like this, it may
be just the beginning," Pence said. "This person is initiating a sick
mind and it's going to involve additional crimes, additional acts
that the public needs to be concerned about."
Pence said leaving the backpack for authorities to find was intentional.
"It's a situation that doesn't always occur in a kidnapping, leaving a
clue like that. It was put there for a purpose," he said.
Pence said the killer likely left the backpack either to taunt police or as a
We got here because a poster said that they need to look at all concealed carry holders in the area because that may be the killer. I was responding that I didn't think that would be the case (as did many other posters). So I think that you are taking my post out of context since you didn't read what the conversation was about. I simply said I couldn't think of any SERIAL KILLER that had a concealed carry licence and that I thought he wouldn't do this because they would have to have their name and fingerprints on file with LE. It simply wouldn't be smart for them to do this, unless they got their permit before they became a criminal or serial killer. Criminals that want to use a gun will get one illegally, they don't care about laws. They will use them wherever they want, they don't care if it's in an area that is supposed to be restricted. And they will use them on people not in self defense (obviously), because again they don't care about laws. This is all I was meaning.
Obviously it would make sense that out of all the concealed carry holders that there are some crimes, I simply stated in another post that I couldn't think of any because as another poster gave me information the stats are so low. I hadn't went and searched and many of these cases are from years ago. The stats are extremely low so I still stand by statement that for the grand majority these people are law abiding citizens that seek only to protect themselves. And I think it's sad that they are viewed any other way. And yes it is possible for even law abiding citizens to get mental illnesses, etc that can occur to cause awful things to happen but if they didn't have a gun they could do it with something else unfortunately. But I was speaking in this post that you quoted about serial killers with concealed carry permits. If you could find a link of a serial killer that had one then maybe I would change my mind.
