"Family members informed deputies that John Sprackling was last seen at noon on Saturday.

Sprackling is 5-feet-9 inches , weighs 160 pounds and has gray hair and blue eyes. It was reported he has recently been wearing blue sweatpants and slip-on shoes.

The neighbor reported that Sprackling was seen driving away from his home in his red or maroon 1998 Mercury Mountaineer with Colorado license plates 165LOS."

He seems to be living alone?

According to this article, family members reported him missing on Jan 21 at 7pm, while he was last seen by a neighbour leaving in his car on Jan 20 at noon. That means nobody missed him when he didn't return home on Jan 20?

OTOH it is said that it is uncharacteristic for him "to leave his home or family for more than a couple of hours".

In any case he seems to be missing now for two days. I hope he is okay and didn't have an accident or something.

Update, 6:26 p.m. Monday, Jan. 22: The body of John Sprackling was found near Cobb Lake, 5999 East County Road 56 in unincorporated Larimer County, about 3 p.m. Monday, according to a Larimer County Sheriff's Office press release. The Larimer County Coroner’s Office will release cause and manner of death at a later time. There is no known threat to the public, according to the release.

According to coroner report: On January 22, 2018 Larimer County Coroner's Office responded to the report of a deceased person at Cobb Lake in Larimer County. The decedent has been identified as John Sprackling, age 83, of Fort Collins. A forensic autopsy was performed today January 23, 2018 and our office determined that Mr. Sprackling took his own life.
