Leah Sandoval was born at home one day earlier in Blanca. Police say her mother is a known drug user, and because of that, was told by Child Protective Services to bring the baby to Alamosa Hospital. The mother agreed, but after arriving at the hospital took off with her child. She was last seen getting into a late model, gold-colored Chrysler Imperial.

Police have identified the mother as 30-year-old Cynthia Sandoval and describe her as 5-foot-3 and 135 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black jacket and camouflage sweatpants.

Leah was last seen wearing a pink and white outfit in a blue and gray car seat.

Missing woman from Blanca.

On Thursday, the Blanca Police Department shared photos of 34-year-old Cynthia Sandoval explaining her family hasn’t heard from her since January.

“Her last known whereabouts were possibly in Pueblo, Colorado or Albuquerque, New Mexico,” police added in a social media post.

Anyone with information on her location is asked to call 719-589-5807.

The Town of Blanca is located in Costilla County

Cynthia Sandoval was reported missing again earlier this year (DLC 01/31/2023). Her NamUs profile was made public 6 days ago and was removed today. It's still up on the nij.ojp.gov platform, but not for long I think.
