Girls murdered west of Telluride, may have been dead for weeks

The bodies of two young girls believed to have been murdered weeks ago were found Friday morning on a San Miguel County farm, according to the sheriff's office.

San Miguel County Sheriff's deputies arrested four people, whose names have not been released, in connection with the homicide investigation occurring on the property outside Norwood.

Deputies are looking for a fifth suspect, Nashika Bramble. She was last seen Wednesday morning hitchhiking in the town of Norwood.

Were these children killed in a murderous act or starved to death?

I wonder if these 2 girls were related to any of them?

This is just another case that breaks my heart. I.will.never.understand! Hurting an innocent little child - how, why?!

R.I.P. little ones. May justice be swift and certain.

Charges for each are outlined at link. CBI is involved, LE won't talk about the relationships between the girls and/or the suspects. Another agency is trying to get docs sealed. What the heck is going on?

Affidavits containing details about case have been sealed. County coroner said autopsies were complete but he's not sure of the girls' identities or relationship to suspects. Waiting on DNA results.

Curiously, the article mentioned that a lot of government workers aren't at work in Florida because of the hurricane. That leads me to think there's a link to Florida.

One of these scum will likely turn on the others in exchange for a plea to lesser charges. What happened here? Why would so many adults abuse these two little ones?

So I did a little sleuthing last night and it looks like Bramble may have Florida ties going back quite a while. Georgia too. I found voter records with her birthdate and even a possible birth of a daughter. I also found a possible link to Ceus. That one's slim and could be coincidence.

I won't link anything yet since I've learned how easy it is to be mistaken. I'll wait for more info to come out before I make that leap. In the meantime here's info with the suspects' birth dates in case y'all wanna look too:

This is likely the original report, Page 6, taken on September 8 at 11:32 regarding an unattended death - the date and address fit. I'm pretty sure it's related somehow. http://www.sanmiguelcounty.org/DocumentCenter/View/1303

More info coming out slowly, like a runny nose:

At least 4 have been traveling together for years. Not able to confirm Yah's name, no fingerprints exist for him. The surviving children are 4 and 8 and appear to be connected to Ceus. would be allowed contact with the two named children only as ordered by a different court in a dependency and neglect case.

The San Miguel County court’s docket shows a juvenile petition related to “temporary custody,” and listed Ceus and Yah as parties. https://www.courts.state.co.us/Courts/County/Dockets.cfm?County_ID=20

Next court dates are Oct. 3 and 10.

Status Hearing held Oct.3. All affidavits sealed for now. Autopsies are complete but COD will not be released. Still waiting on DNA test results.

Each is charged with one count of felony child abuse causing death, with possible murder charges to come in the future.

Nashika Bramble is the dead girls' mother. Her attorney argued for a bond reduction, saying “She’s a grieving mother sitting in jail.” The father of one of the girls, along with their grandparents stated no leniency should be afforded to Bramble. Bramble "wept openly and sniffled into tissues." I'm not sure why her origin is "unknown" if LE has been in contact with relatives.

More info regarding bond amounts at the link.

Blair is the owner of the property. He has no criminal history but DA Whiting said Blair “incorporated” himself into the group of transients and he allowed the group to stay there, even after the children were dead.

I'm curious about the "transient group" authorities refer to but I guess for now there won't be much info coming out. LE said there's no danger to the community.

I wonder who called authorities? Maybe the father of one of the girls that was mentioned along with grandparents that was mentioned in the news article? I too, wonder, "what on earth went on here" and how was the landowner "incorporated" into horrible case?

*I'm not sure I wanna' know the details in this case :(
