I wish they would SAY something in the media to keep this case alive. I would like to know that LE is still working on it.

That's great news, Rick777. Maybe someone else knows something about this and will come forward with this publicity.

Paige Birgfeld, a mother of three children, has been missing for 324 days. Her father, Frank Birgfeld, has not given up hope that he'll find answers in his daughter's disappearance.

10 months and 19 days from the day she went missing, he joined volunteers as they searched the Grand Valley for clues.

But this search was different from searches we saw last year. The search teams did some back-tracking of places they had searched before.

They went back to specific places, and were not expecting to find a body.

"You just see this vast territory and you wanna say, where do I even start?" said Frank Birgfeld.

Did we ever hear who got custody of the kids? I would guess that it was the dad but don't remember ever reading that.

Paige was featured on 48 Hours Mystery tonight. The children's father got sole custody of the kids.

It was heartbreaking to watch her poor father out searching for her with her dog.

I watched that last night too. Her father and brother broke my heart on more than one occasion.

Did they have any ideas about what happened to her or who did it? Because of the type of business she was into heaven only knows who it could have been that took her life. That ex who has the kids is still on my list.

No it was still an unsolved case although LE seemed to suspect Lester Ralph Jones, who I believe was mentioned here earlier. They seemed like the case may be solved once a body was found but without a body they couldn't try for murder.

Human Remains Found, Birgfeld Family Notified

    - SNIP

"Human remains are found, and investigators with the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office are trying to figure out who they belong to. Details are limited at this hour, but authorities have confirmed that the remains were found in the region.
Sheriff's officials are remaining very tight-lipped, and not revealing the exact location of the discovery. We do know that Paige Birgfeld’s father Frank, has been notified by investigators regarding the find. "

MY hopes and prayers are with Paige's parents, siblings, and children. Unfortunately, I have a very bad suspicion that soon to be ex hubby is VERY involved! Too many coincidences with locations, times, etc.

God Bless you and Welcome to Heaven if its you Paige :angel:

Are you talking about the ex that Paige had spent time with that day (I think it was that day)? Not the father of her kids? Didn't he say that they were talking about getting back together and that he didn't mind her line of work or was that all bs coming from him? I hope that is her body so that her family can lay her to rest.

I heard this news earlier tonight. I hope it will bring some closure to this family and help bring the person responsible to justice, if it is Paige. It has been so long for them to wait and to wonder what happened to her. Bless their hearts.

OOPS Bobbisangel, my mistake. I forgot about the 'client' and that the car was found burnt in front of his business- I could only remember how scared she was of her kid's father. I just read the transcipt from Dateline, and its sad- I also didnt realize that the scent lead to his building.

The important thing is that SOMEONE is found, whether it be Paige, or someone else who is missing- Its hard to fathom the amount of missing in our country- Hopefully soon, someone can be paid to rest- RIP

BTW- Since I just re-read all the story, I will re-cap really quick for those who dont know:
    1. she spent the day of her murder with her 1st hubby of two years (no kids) having a romantic picnic of Subway sandwiches :blowkiss:.
    2. Her 2nd/ex hubby/father of kids originally moved back east to PA, and they were relieved to have him so far away- about 3 months before her death, he moved 3 hours away, and they were NOT happy about that!
    3. She was running an escort service at night to pay for her expensive home. A client became infatuated with her, and the burnt car showed up accross from his business, and the tracks led to his business and no where else.
    4. As the initial search went on, pieces of her purse were found alongside the highway- Her id, checkbook register, blockbuster card, etc.

For some reason I think its her ex hubby- She was scared of him for some reason, and maybe he was spying on her, found out what she was up to, and killed her instead of allowing her to take care of his kids- I hope Im wrong, but the first hubby and the escort sounded like they liked her too much!

Hope this helps- Her escort life was a complete shock to her entire family. If you would like a great read about this story, here is the most informative link I have found so far : http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/25559428/

I think it was the father of the kids. Who would murder someone and then park and burn their vehicle right by that person's business unless they are a little off in the first place. Why not leave a big sign saying..."I killed Paige!"

How the ex would have known where to leave the vehicle and burn it is beyond me but it wouldn't surprise me at all. But then if the dogs scented right up to that building????????

I wish they would hurry up and let the public know who the body is.
