The FBI is looking at the possibility that four missing adults were murdered.

They all had one link: They all knew Scott Lee Kimball.

    ~snip~

On Friday, the FBI released pictures of four women they want to know more about.

The FBI doesn't know who they are, if they are alive and where their pictures were taken.

The FBI would only say that the pictures have surfaced as part of the Kimball investigation.

"I think it's possible people might be able to recognize where those photographs were taken. That would certainly be helpful to us as well," Davis said. "We have no information at all that tells us anything about those women being victims. We just think that it's likely that they can provide us with helpful information in the investigation."

The FBI is looking at the possibility that four missing adults were murdered.

They all had one link: They all knew Scott Lee Kimball.

Kimball is currently sitting in the Jefferson County Jail on a weapons charge. Lafayette police also have several theft charges pending against him.But Kimball's biggest worry may be what the federal agents think about him, even though they are loathe to discuss him.

"But I can tell you that we are conducting it as a kidnapping investigation," said James Davis, special agent in charge of the Denver division of the FBI.

This guy is one scary dude. Below is more about him. I wonder what the outcome of the two below mentioned cases were? Is his ex-wife's daughter one of the four missing talked about currently?

    http://www.thedenverchannel.com/news/8019145/detail.html

He was also wanted for questioning in the disappearance of his ex-wife's daughter, and the attempted murder of his 10-year-old son in Adams County

ETA: His ex-wife's daughter is one of the 4 cases looked at. Much more info at the below link.

Kaysi McLeod was reported missing in August 2003. She was 19 at the time and was never seen after Kimball was supposed to pick her up from a Thornton hotel. Kimball married Kaysi's mother, Lori, later that year. Rob McLeod, Kaysi's father, told 9News: "I believe Scott Kimball killed my daughter."

More on Kaysi, her bones were found and identified:

    http://www.denverpost.com/breakingnews/ci_9285677

FBI forensic experts confirmed that a skull and other bones discovered by a hunter Sept. 30 in deep snow in northwest Colorado were those of Kaysi McLeod, who has been missing since 2003 when she was 19, Jackson County Sheriff Rick Rizor said.

    (snips)
The wife of a man under investigation in the disappearance of four people told 9News on Friday she is sure her husband is a serial killer.
Lori McLeod said her husband, Scott Kimball, tried to kill his son once by pushing a steel storm gate on him.
Lori McLeod is the mother of Kaysi McLeod, 19, one of the four people who are missing. The others are Jennifer Marcum, Terry Kimball - who is Kimball's uncle - and Leann Emry.

FBI officials are asking for the public's help in identifying four other women connected to Kimball. The FBI said it received serval leads Friday.
The FBI released their photos this week, saying they were found as part of an investigation into Kimball, a former FBI informant.

Much more info. Apparently this con man conned the Feds giving him the opportunity to kill.

    http://www.rockymountainnews.com/news/2008/may/15/4th-missing-person-linked-investigation-conman/

But his most masterful deception may have started in 2002, when Kimball persuaded the FBI and the U.S. Attorney's Office to let him out of a federal detention center early, so he could work as an informant in a murder-for-hire case.
Soon, three people close to Kimball had disappeared, according to an affidavit filed in federal court: a pretty young mother the FBI had asked him to keep an eye on; a teenage girl whose mother Kimball later married and his own uncle, who was living in Kimball's Westminster home.
All three were last seen alive with Kimball, whom the FBI now is investigating on possible charges of kidnapping, murder-for-hire and tampering with a federal witness, according to the affidavit.

One of the above articles stated he lived in Montana for a time. If this is the same guy, we can add escape from prison to his list of crimes.

Scott Lee Kimball: Two years suspended to Montana State Prison for theft. In addition, three years suspended to MSP for escape.
