I just can't decide if CW completely ambushed SW or if he said something evil first like, "I'm sorry I have to do this..." or "I'm sorry I killed the girls and now you..." My mind keeps going to :( either of those scenarios as the "emotional conversation." If he ambushed her or did in her sleep, then (imo) no words were exchanged. I don't think there ever was an actual "conversation" about separating or divorcing. My thought is any "emotional conversation" he was referring to only consisted of foreboding words or the actual act of him strangling her. :( I absolutely do not believe they talked about separating at 4 or 5am in the morning or whatever time he eventually settled on since he gave two different answers.
How about "I can't believe it came to this?" (or the similar words he used in one of his porch interviews). ?

So the opinions about the videos are only meaningful if they are being used and viewed in a certain way. Gotcha.

There is nothing wrong with how one perceives the videos, it is what comes after that, that is an issue. Specifically, the connections that are being made.

Saying the videos show abuse. That’s an opinion.

Saying the videos show abuse, so they prove a motive, or even provide evidence that the victim is actually a murderer? That’s a different thing entirely.

Yep got it :)
I'll agree to disagree

"I sort of just touched on that but to try and be more clear on my thoughts, I by no means can answer factually. When I first met them they came off as the center of each others world. I think that as Shanann got more and more successful she had become somewhat more distant. Not because she didn't love him just as much but because she knew how to make it to the top and she was doing an incredible job building her team and business. She wanted everything for those girls and even Chris but she knew to do it she had to be all in. I think that Chris not only couldn't handle the constant pressure and I don't think he could handle not being her only focus. I'd assume as she got more and more invested in growing, he got more and more resentful and internalized it. At the same time she was pushing him to be healthy and exceed as well so he probably starting liking the attention he got as well and it spiraled."

It seems SW was so dedicated to growing her business because she wanted everything for her babies that CW grew very resentful. This is a very typical reason for men to start affairs. The more involved he became in his affairs, the more detached he became from his family.

He was the one being selfish and irresponsible by spending so much time and money on his affairs. Then he committed the most selfish act imaginable by strangling his entire family so he could be free of them without any responsibilities.

Even for those who have doubts that he murdered his girls, by covering everything up, he was perfectly willing to let his own family go through hell worrying about what could have happened to Shanann, Bella and Cece if they remained missing. And I'll bet he would've been fine letting them spend their savings looking for his family and worrying forever after, while he cashed in on the house and moved on happily with his life. MOO

agree, the interpretation of some of the videos is a stretch to say the least. In the “abusive” water bottle squirting video l, I watched it after reading some comments about horrible she was, I thought I was going to see her almost water boarding her, instead I saw a little girl laughing and squealing in delight.

Tippy, we're trying to help get your other cheek off the fence!!!!!:p Just kidding.
Its interesting to read about the different perspectives in this case.

I appreciate your humor. :p There will be a time I jump to one side or the other. At this point, I don't even want to guess on what or when that will be. I like reading all the perspectives too - very interesting. :D

Thank you for sharing your opinion, its always interesting to hear varying points of view.
My interpretation of the Santa video is different to yours, however I try to remain open-minded.
I don't find anything remotely funny about children that are scared.

I think the "biggest mistake" was to live stream it when in reality both of the kids were just overwhelmed by this entire situation and already very exhausted so they rather needed their parents not a smartphone chasing all of their actions. I really believe Shannan just wanted a "happy christmas" for them with all the magic she probably felt when she was a little child but this didn't work and she was clearly disappointed by it. What I could totally relate to. I don't know if this makes me a bad parent too. Maybe sometimes we all are "bad parents" because we do not act like we are supposed to.

What I need to admit is that this video should have never entered the internet. And I felt very sorry for the little girls especially knowing that they will never have another christmas again.

I hope no plea is accepted, unless he admits to killing all.
Perhaps then, he can have better times, while in prison, for the remainder of his life.
MOO.
I'm sure he already has a large fan club writing him letters of praise, love and support.
He may even end up getting married behind bars.
He probably regrets that he won't get to show off his spiffy new shirts on the telly again.
MOO.

I'm in the same boat.
I know people are curious to see the autopsy reports, but just want to put out there that I would much rather NOT see them if it would in any way compromise the fairness of trial. I also think it must be hard for the families of the victims to have information about how their loves ones were murdered out out there for the public to consume and pick over like vultures. No we are not vultures and this seems like an empathetic group, but it does seem undignified to allow just anyone to have at it. CW's treatment of the bodies of loves ones underscores this disturbing aspect of the crimes; there is a sacredness to death and corpses and we are trampling on it. Curious as I am, in my heart I hope the reports stay sealed. It's none of our business. JMO and IMO.

Exactly. It’s a great analogy and incredibly important here.

Two people explode without warning at the same time.

They happen to use the same method in order to commit their atrocities.

Then the surviving party does the exact thing that you would expect a completely guilty person to do.

If this is a movie, I’ve already walked out...

His scenario isn’t merely fiction, it’s insane.

I agree 100%. His story is absolutely preposterous. It is complete fiction, and it is also the worst fiction I've ever seen.

Thanks for bringing this forward, as I haven’t read anything that this VI has said.

This jibes with what I think was going on in regards to SW’s focus on her Thrive business.

He was no longer the center of attention that he once was, atleast not in the same context. This, coupled with his physical improvements, may have played a role in his decision to have affairs.

Things were changing, and he wasn’t receptive to these changes.

Of course there’s no way of knowing what specific things factored in to the killings. But I wouldn’t be surprised if this new dynamic played some part.

I totally agree that if releasing the results will compromise the fairness of a trial then they should stay sealed, the main thing is that SW, Cece and Bella get the justice they deserve. I can also understand people wanting the results released, as I think they will give a lot of answers to unanswered questions and IMO prove CW’s guilt once and for all. I agree it will not be easy on family members having the results out in the public to be picked apart either, maybe it should be ultimately up to them if they are released or not.

I personally don't find anything funny about terrified children screaming, "No Santa!" Kids need to be heard and their boundaries respected, imo.

If it hadn't been their dad inside the outfit, that whole thing might have been handled differently?

And they only seemed to be on their dad's lap for a few seconds before being 'rescued'.

Good point. Once she hit the "go live" button and started broadcasting, the flood gates would have already opened in regards to fb friends joining the live stream to watch. Weighing the options, maybe she thought it'd be better to keep streaming it (despite it not going as planned), vs. ending the live stream and risk losing her audience. Doesn't make it right, but there are certainly worse things that could be broadcasted, IMO. Jmo

Thanks, dixiegirl1035! I think what you mean is for mediation, so it would be irrelevant during the trial? IMO, it could be raised in a dealth penalty case IF a mitigation specialist is brought in to try to reduce the sentence?

Lol, apparently talk-to-text that does the word mitigation incorrectly again and again and I will have to teach my device to learn the word. Instead of inserting something else.

. Mitigation is what I meant. it keeps saying medication or mediation and I have to keep checking it and correcting it LOL.

Yes, the original post had to do with the death penalty, and how it requires a mitigation specialist to go through his entire life.

Eta.. corrected to mitigation again LOL

I didn't get that loving, happy family feeling from most of the videos. To be honest, it's made me wonder what went on in that house when camera's weren't rolling and behind closed doors so to speak. I'm not saying the video's are so alarming that CPS should have been notified. I don't see anything like that, but I think they portrayed SW in the best light possible and I don't get that warm fuzzy feeling from them.
jmo

Forgive me if I sound like I’m moaning but I’ve had it up to hear with the Christmas video being over analysed. SW did nothing wrong, my children would have had the same reaction to seeing Santa at their ages, be it at home or elsewhere.
SW went to so much effort, not for herself, for her little girls. She showed so much patience even though she must have felt a little deflated, the video proves to me what a great mommy she was and it proves to me that she never harmed a hair on those girls heads, JMO.

Yes. I do agree with you.

But knowing they won't stay sealed I am interested.
