Why not visit? If I was in the area I would visit, probably just to drive by, just to get an accurate picture in my mind. Nothing wrong with that. In fact, if I was in the area I might go have lunch or dinner at the Lazy Dog. It's curiosity and a need for perspective.

Her relationship with CW is/could be key to understanding why this happened.

Like it or not, outside of CW, Shanann and the children, she is the most involved/closest to this crime. That is not saying she was party to what happened but she unfortunately is involved.

His cards and notes written to her read like something prepared by a love sick teenager, not a thirty something married father of 3. He was clearly besotted with her. She herself expressed doubts if he was the one for her, as she wanted someone to experience "firsts" with and he had already done these "firsts". Was that what pushed him over the edge ? We don't know, but that is one example of how she may have had a part to play in decisions CW made and I will stress decisions HE alone made.

Likewise she made a decision to date a married man. Opinions can differ on this in life, she is single why should she be to blame, he was the married one, he should be the responsible one. Fair enough I suppose but we are all accountable for our actions.

So I don't think it is as simple as saying she was his mistress, he was a nut job, she has moved on.

There are many looking for answers as to why, not least Shananns family. Anybody who had a significant part to play in the life of CW in the run up to this tragedy may be able to help and should be willing to do so, imo.

That's not gossip, like it or not she was his significant other for a period of time.

If she deleted them when she said (which they probably confirmed through the Cellbrite dump) it was not known a crime had been committed at that point meaning no reasonable person would consider them 'evidence' at that time.

It doesn't matter whether it was known that a crime had been committed. She was well aware that an active law enforcement investigation was underway in the disappearance of her married boyfriend's pregnant wife and two daughters. That really should be enough for someone to know that you don't destroy potential evidence.

I think she knew. I know you see her as innocent, I do not. I don't believe she killed them but I don't think he would have ever had the courage had he not met her. She gave him courage. She was more worried about herself than she was a pregnant woman and two small children. She may not be criminally responsible but she certainly isn't a nice person.

Either way, all of that is meaningless in the end. Her story is believable, LE who actually investigated who had access to everything found nothing to disprove it. This is like beating a dead horse.

It is my hope that eventually FOIA requests will bring more information to light that can help answer some of the remaining questions. Is this a realistic expectation or has everything already been released? For example there were a lot of requests for recovery from apple devices where they stated their own recovery process was not successful so they submitted a warrant to request data from Apple? Am I understanding that correctly that we will eventually see all these texts from the apple devices that were deleted by Kessinger, and from within the Secret Calculator app, as those requests are still in progress and getting processed? Or did they fail to obtain these documents?

There is a fairly new thing being done called deepfake where people go on the net and take your picture and put it into *advertiser censored*.

I imagine that NK did not want random LE reading and looking at her sex stuff with CW. I assume it was for his eyes only.

Even though we may find her reprehensible, there is no way I would want some random guy looking at my intimate stuff.

If that is what it is, it serves no investigative purpose. They already kmow he had the relationship with her. Why would they need to look at sex stuff?

I’ve started listening to the “Ear Hustle” podcast. It’s created by a lifer at San Quentin prison and he works with a female volunteer at the prison to get it aired. It’s pretty fascinating and I’ve thought a lot about CW while listening to it. He interviews other prisoners and they tell their stories. They talk about first coming into the prison life and how they are taught the “rules” etc.

Basically it doesn’t sound that bad (well for being a prisoner) IF, and it’s a big IF, he can figure out how to get along with other prisoners.

I can't even imagine losing my freedom. I truly treasure being able to come and go and do as I please, when I please.

This isn't gossip, NK was an integral part of what happened, she shouldn't have deleted texts, she should have been more forthcoming in helping LE piece together the events leading up to and including that night. Just because your theory wasn't correct, why can't posters discuss the whole of the case without being put down as gossipers, NK is a major player whether she likes it or not.

CW DID murder his family for a mistress and for financial gain. Shanann wasn't the unstable one who murdered her children to get at CW, she loved her children immensely, she loved CW and didn't view him as the caretaker of their children, he was their FATHER!
Shanann had a real job earning good money and CW enjoyed the benefits just as much if not more than Shanann. They had financial problems like millions of families and millions don't go on to kill their family over it, even though alarmingly the numbers who do capture the world's attention because of the unimaginable stupidity of it all.

And CW didn't snap because he'd had enough, he consciously went about planning the murder of his family for a woman 'who took his breath away', and idiotically, he thought it would be the perfect crime, he'd be believed because he's the 'good guy', and they don't murder their families, they're NOT monsters!

NK is linked to this tragedy and anyone who listened and watched her interviews can tell she was lying, to what extent, who knows but it's worth discussing because CW won't reveal what occurred that night. She could've collaborated with the police to piece together CW's motives by telling them what he said/she said, and kept the texts/messages etc.
Nk dominated those interviews talking about rubbish, talking non stop about trivial things, and there's the key word, 'dominated', the word thrown around regarding Shanann. Oh the irony, it was a negative attribute for Shanann but a plus for NK, I suppose that's what 8 yrs can do to a man like CW, lucky for NK she never got to be his bride. jmo

IIRC it was established that the ping from Frederick was on her way to work. If you look on google maps you will be able to see that her route to work involved driving through or near to Frederick.

This could be true, could also be true she did a drive by to check on her lover, which isn't a crime, who knows how he sounded to her that night, she knew Shanann was returning from the weekend away, maybe, NK was worried, not about their well being but the state of her relationship with CW, the 'wife' was back on the scene, the scariest moment for a mistress in love.

I've done some research and given it a great deal of thought and I don't believe NK is in Witness Protection. First, she doesn't seem to qualify. As someone here said; "Internet bullying isn't grounds for protection." Second, the initial story was on ************* and the other stories all seemed to be taken from the Inquisitr story, so I'm not sure of the validity of the report. Finally, with CW LWOP, what threat exists that would justify protection? Is it possible NK leaked this story herself, to take the heat off and give herself some peace? Anything is possible.

Not to mention, LE did not need her testimony at all. There was plenty of evidence without needing to rely on her testimony. If the government doesn't need her, they're not going to shell out money to protect her.

I think NK put the story out there herself. If any of her new co-workers, friends, or lovers Google her name, well, she must be a different NK because CW's NK is in witness protection with a new name.

Don't forget, it's in the discovery docs that she told LE she had found a new job in a different state. Why would LE step in at that point, for a witness they don't need, for a trial that won't happen? What would they do... move her to a third state?

The whole point of witness protection is to protect key witnesses without whose testimony they wouldn't be able to prosecute. It was set up specifically for use in prosecuting organized crime.

CW was not a mobster, not part of a gang, not part of a terrorist organization. He's in jail, who exactly are his crime pals who would off her to prevent her from testifying or out of retribution?

Just commenting that I don’t believe NK is in the Witness Protection Program!

This program is not for mistresses of a man who was so enchanted by a female other than his wife, he chose to kill the pregnant wife and two adorable daughters.

The program would be overrun and the government would be broke if it accepted cases such as this one. Can you imagine the nightmares this would cause? Thinking about this, it is hilarious to me!

It looked like a nice neighborhood. Beautiful view of the mountains to the west. There were some children out playing and riding bikes.

But once at the house, there was a forbidding feeling. Vacant houses often feel that way to be. But knowing what occurred in the house, was so heavy. No more laughter from little girls, no commotion...it sat silent.

What was interesting to me, that there are a lot of those oil tanks around that area. In fact, as you drive into the neighborhood there are two large tanks that look eerily similar to the ones the girls were left in.

I read that NK's phone pinged near CW's house on Monday morning. Has anyone figured that one out? Or does it go under "things NK forgot about"?

NK’s phone pinged on her way to work near CW’s house sometime after 6 am August 13,
CW’s house is in Frederick,Colorado which is north of Thornton,Colorado.

This makes no sense, to drive out your way to your job, when her home is in Thornton, . I’m familiar with this town.
Can a tower miles away can cause her phone to ping?
Would make sense to drive east to
Highway 76 then turn north, much faster route.
