CW will be probably coping a lot of flack in jail after the latest interview and is nervous about repercussions. Suck it up buddy, poor Shanann had to negotiate living life with you on board. She absolutely tried her hardest and did have a shining light for her beautiful little family, friends and extended family. CW you silly, silly man.

“He then read a Bible verse when Shanann had stopped breathing, saying: 'Forgive these people for they do not know what they do.' “

Did he really quote Christ on the cross?! Wow, that guy is totally delusional.

And hey, I’m not opposed to the other inmates haranguing this FA, but I suppose he was anticipating cake and confetti, since mama W has him convinced he’s extra special.

I think Dude is surprised all the way around. I don't think he expected anyone to miss his wife so soon. Then I don't think he expected all the attention LE gave it. Then he was apparently surprised that he got LWOP. Bemused at the inmates taunting him. I think that either speaks to the general way in which he's so dissociated from the crime (and his family) that he has a hard time seeing what all the fuss is about OR, as our favorite vocal-fry mistress said, that cheese done went and slid off his cracker. (paraphrase)

What's rather interesting is that during his interrogation by Coder, CW states that LWOP or the DP should been given to the person responsible.

Guess that would have only applied if someone else had done this, but not to CW, because he's special!

Agreed! He really did seem shocked that “her people” were so quickly concerned. And I think mommy W led him to believe he was going to usurp the right hand of g-d position. Smdh

    Edit: quoting glitch.

I'm going from memory but they've distorted that a bit. As he took SW's life he was envisioning she might be praying, and her prayer was "Father forgive them for they know not what they do.". Yes, those are among Christ's final words on the cross. I was astounded when I read that detail in the interview transcript that was posted last week. It is beyond strange he chose to correlate that scene with the crucifixion. He took his actions & the final thoughts he projected onto her straight to the height of one of the most significant events in the entire bible. There is a reason he chose that scripture, and I do believe it has something to do with his narcissism/NPD. IMO

It really is incredible. He won't take himself out, no worries on that. After murdering his wife and babies, he not only thinks he has a purpose on this earth, but a great purpose. Scary!

I'm not so sure. I agree Radar is usually junk, and my initial reaction was strong skepticism, but then I began to think if he is in a bad enough state in terms of his reputation and maybe even with his family (is that possible with these people?), he might become suicidal for real. Or if not, giving the impression that he's suicidal could help him keep his family's sympathy despite his confession being released.

  11. This won't add to the family's sympathy at all. It will add to their horrifying pain.

Or they might just be keeping him isolated for his own safety, like they did when he was in jail, until things settle down in the prison.
It's hard to say whether or not it's even accurate that he's under suicide watch, considering the source, and the fact that prisons don't usually release that kind of information.
Either way, I imagine if any of the inmates watched the Dr. Phil show, it might cause some tension. There were so many beautiful pictures of Shanann and the girls, and many inmates are probably missing their families. Some probably have kids they haven't seen in years. I imagine they don't think very highly of inmate Watts.
I can see why he turned towards religion in Prison. He wouldn't fit in with any other group, except other family annihilators. I don't think he was genuinely looking for religion or forgiveness, but rather the safety it could provide. Imo

I’m quite behind here, can somebody please link again where it talks about CW in prison since all this new stuff was released? I was super bummed he was happier up there in Wisconsin. If this is now not the case I would love to know this, tia.

I really think that his biggest surprise was NA and her doggedness with finding out where her friend was. She called him, and he tried to blow her off, hoping that she would go home, and he would have time to finish his staging.

I have to give her a medal because most friends would call you. When you didn't answer, they might call the husband and hear what he has to say. You would go about your day, continuing to call and text. If you haven't heard from her by the next day, you might go to her house or call the husband again and ask if he has called police.

By the time you called the police, the staging would be complete. I believe that Chris underestimated how close Shan'ann was with NA. NA probably knows all of the details and was on high alert when they returned. Didn't Shan'ann say to her that 'she would need all the support she could get when she returned home?'

NA knew of the doctor's appointment that I assume Chris had forgotten about. He had tunnel vision and was solely focused on getting rid of 'his problems' to move on to his "sexy" new love interest.

Shan'ann was very social and had lots of friends, family and people with whom she kept in contact. Chris was a loner and didn't. I guess that he assumed that nobody knew her well enough to know that she just wouldn't up and leave without contacting anyone.

What a fool. What a senseless tragedy. I just shake my head every time I think about the entire situation. Shan'ann and her girls definitely deserved better.

That's one of the things that I thought was very strange from the start. That he didn't consider Shananns friends would be concerned as soon as they found out she missed her appointment, or that they wouldn't follow through with her to see how it went.
It's as if he doesn't understand that in normal relationships, people care about those things and would naturally talk about it because they are actually concerned about their friends. Imo

He didn’t turn so disconnected overnight. He had to be like this all along.

A female classmate said girls thought he was cute, but he did not respond.

His roommate said that he studied and did not party with them.

He has been disconnected for years.

He talks about it in the interview with investigators. I think it's near the beginning. From what I remember he said it wasn't as bad as when he was in jail, when inmates would yell out to him when he was going down the hall, telling him to kill himself, etc.
I think he said he wasn't as isolated any more. To me that means that he is around the other inmates during meals and yard time or whatever they call it. I think it's only one hour a day, and the rest of the time he's in his cell.
So I assume when he first got there many inmates weren't familiar with his crime, and now that he has done the interview many more know and are giving him a hard time.
So it's really not more than anything we expected would happen.
The only group that will accept him in prison is likely the one he decided to be a part of, since Christianity focuses on love and forgiveness. Jmo

I don't believe CW prison conditions are any different since confession interview.
From both Attorney and CW himself, he confirmed he's in his cell 23/7.
CW stated that he's under escort every time he leaves his cell. He told Agents that he's supervised when shaving and is required to use a dull "safety razor." His exercise is basketball. When asked about getting a prison job, he noted something about his prison classification doesn't make that possible but talked about prisoners across the road having jobs. He hopes to help other prisoners in the future. I also understood the taunting from other prisoners happened in Colorado, and not as being reported today. MOO
