Please continue discussion here in accordance with The Rules:

Quick rundown of reminders from prior threads:

Rumors are not allowed.

Barry Morphew has been charged with Suzanne's murder and he and his businesses are open to sleuthing.

Do not sleuth or make accusations against anyone who is not an officially named POI/suspect.

If an approved source discusses rumors or family members, it is still NOT allowed to do so at Websleuths. WS has different standards.

Preview your posts to avoid broken quotes.

Lengthy personal anecdotes are off topic. Stay on topic.

Discuss the case and not each other; state your opinion and move one without arguing or bickering.

Random youtube videos or blogs are not allowed unless approval is given by Tricia or Admin.

Approved sources are MSM, LE, Profiling Evil podcast, Lauren Scharf podcast or social media, Investigation Discovery, Crimeonline, Tyson Draper (only the interview with Barry Morphew), public documents.

Do not discuss removed posts or question/challenge moderation on the thread. Doing so is subject to an automatic Time Out.

Mod Reminder - Plunder Court Transcript Episodes

The Transcripts from the Preliminary Hearing being shared by Plunder have been approved. This approval only applies to the Plunder episodes specific to the court transcripts. The transcripts shared across the episodes may not be copied and posted in entirety to WS as a single document or post replicating the documents that the content creator purchased.

ADMIN REMINDER:

By Websleuths standards the Morphew daughters are victims. Posts trashing them or demeaning them will be removed and members who post in that regard are subject to a loss of posting privileges.

Read The Rules (TOS) and post accordingly.

Thanks.

<modsnip: This post has been removed. It is a violation of the law to broadcast this recording.>

ADMIN NOTE:

Thanks to Seattle1, a reminder that Colorado Court has strict policy that court proceedings including WEBEX cannot be filmed/recorded/rebroadcast or face contempt charges.

As we know, Barry placed himself in the yard, in the vicinity of Suzanne's last known location, with a .22 he was firing.

As alibis go, that's got to be the worst.

I think it's true, the tranq gun on the workbench was, in fact, inoperable and hadn't been fired recently. Barry seems to be something of a trash collector.... I think it's clever that his defense team wants that inoperable, unfired dart gun to exonerate him, but how many of us think Barry only had ONE dart gun?

Almost doesn't matter WHICH gun he used. To me, what matters most is that Barry confessed to firing ANYTHING at approximately 2:45 on Saturday, May 9, at the same time Suzanne's digital presence went cold.

That, my friends, is a smoking gun. And he says he was holding it.

He came home to stop her from leaving.

That simple, that tragic, and not even original.

Well, here it is Felony Friday again.
What’s the hold up on those documents??
Hi! Have these been released yet and I missed it? I have been so busy at work dealing with a former employee that embezzled over a 1M and right when he was about to be arrested he passed away abruptly from AIDS. We are most likely a Netflix mini series in the making. :)

85 chipmunks, 86 threads, 100% conviction for the one person who did this.

Here's hoping.

I want to get something here on page one, I've been working on the AA and trying to cross-reference it and put together a concise collection of info that we can easily refer to. But I need a little help, I can't decide what things to highlight because I could conceivably cross reference every word.

Here's where I am:
Barry Morphew Redacted Arrest Affidavit – Find Suzanne Morphew

Help me winnow down what needs extra explanation. I'd like it to be an encyclopedia of the case facts.

Not yet, but I think we're going to need a whole other thread to unpack the rest of that.

Thank you! What is it that is being released that wasn't in the AA? I'm sorry for my stupidity! I try to stop by here every day but sometimes it's limited to see if anything big has happened or new info released.

Holy wow! Sorry you’re dealing with it, but I would watch that mini-series tbh.
Just yesterday I asked a reporter on Twitter if this ( 2 weeks) is normal for both sides to ready their documents or if she’s heard what the delay might be. Hope I get an answer soon!

All of the Motions filed by both sides, responses to those Motions, Judges orders to those, etc. that have been suppressed since last May. In all other cases you would see them uploaded here :

I was reading MassGuy’s post about DNA and genealogy-the inability to quote from a closed thread makes me sad-

I have seen cases where LE has sent in DNA collected from a crime scene to an ancestry site, falsely pretending to be the individual. This has enabled LE to have access to a database of familial matches, who they then contacted. They questioned a relative for leads on who in their family might be in a particular state at the time of the crime. And then there are the DNA experts that can take the partial match and build that family tree to find a suspect. Impressive but scary. And legal, at least in certain states.

I recall one particular case where that happened, before the site implemented protocols that prevented that. As far as I know, that is no longer possible, which is why they use GED Match. Even GED Match changed their policy recently, requiring people to opt in to allow LE to use their DNA in that way.

Despite that new requirement, it doesn't seem like law enforcement has been hampered much (every week there is a case solved that way).

I'd bet that most people upload their DNA to that site for that specific reason. I did.

This isn't the same as quoting a post from a previous thread, but here is a link to @MassGuy's post to go with your reply:
