There's more video on Henk Peters' FB page, plus pictures. They're hoping someone will recognize the attackers. The couple had been running a bed and breakfast in Sarapiqui, north of San Jose, for about ten years.

A day earlier another Dutch couple was found murdered on their hardwood plantation in Sardinal, Costa Rica:

Local police think this was also a robbery. Dutch police are headed to Costa Rica to assist in the murder investigation.

Costa Rica used to be a peaceful place where Americans were welcomed. Sadly that may be changing now.

The Dutch newspapers have a lot more background info, but I am hesitant to post links to them since they are not in English. Apparently violent crime has soared recently.

Even though it involves two Dutch couples (cases unrelated except they are both suspected robberies) I decided to post it, since I know quite a few (American) people who've gone vacationing in Costa Rica... never know who might recognize someone. The two surveillance camera videos really give a good look at least two of the perps.

Here is Henk Peters' FB: https://www.facebook.com/henk.peters.12

It is also in Dutch but the Google Translate option should come up and give you the gist at least.

There's a picture also of a piece of a note the perps left with names on it.

This is still unsolved, according to Henk Peters. They moved back to The Netherlands.
