Police described the woman as white with a heavy-set build, short-cropped hair with multiple tattoos, body and facial piercings. She was wearing a blond-colored braided wig with a scarf attached. Police said they believe she is between 25- and 40-years-old.

Police said the woman was wearing blue jeans, a brown sweater with a white print and short black boots.

Bridgeport police seeking public's help identifying woman found near boat launch ramp Sunday

BRIDGEPORT — Joe Henriques, owner of H&H Shellfish, was preparing to work on one of his boats Sunday morning with his brother and a welder when the trio noticed something on the sand near their Seaview Avenue docks.

“The welder saw like a dolly or something on the beach,” Henriques recalled Monday. “My brother started looking, says, ‘No, this is a body.’”

“She was here to meet with a man and obviously it didn’t go well,” Police Capt. Brian Fitzgerald said Monday afternoon of the woman found dead near the city’s boat ramp.


Fitzgerald said the 25-year-old woman, who is not from the city, died from a bullet wound to the head. He would not immediately release her name but said she has been identified.


She was found Sunday morning on the shore near the Seaview Avenue boat ramp."

Brandon Roberts’ threat to kill himself eight days before police say he murdered Emily Todd would have been flagged as a serious warning by those trained to help victims of domestic violence at Women’s Center of Greater Danbury.

Todd, 25, of Bethel, died at the hands of 26-year-old Roberts, with whom she had been in a brief relationship, according to police.

The two met on a dating app about two weeks before her murder, Bridgeport Police Capt. Brian Fitzgerald told Hearst Connecticut Media shortly after Todd was killed. She was found on the shore of Bridgeport Harbor on Dec. 9, dead from a bullet to the back of the head. Police said she had been killed the day before

According to police, Todd decided to end the relationship after dating Roberts for just a few days. And on Nov. 30, Bridgeport police got a call from Todd, who said Roberts threatened to shoot himself. She told 911 dispatchers he was driving a Chevrolet with Ohio license plates, and that he owned a gun. Todd also provided police with his cellphone number

Emily Todd, 25, of Bethel, was shot in the back of the head on Dec. 9 in Bridgeport. Ohio man Brandon Roberts, who detectives said met Todd on a dating website, was charged in her murder. In an unrelated case, police said Roberts drove up to another woman this summer in Bridgeport, told her he wanted to have sex with her and shot her from behind when she turned him down

BRIDGEPORT — A man was sentenced to 80 years Friday for shooting and killing a young therapist from Bethel more than three years ago.

State Superior Court Judge Alex Hernandez sentenced Brandon Roberts, 29, to 60 years for murder, 15 years for first-degree robbery with a deadly weapon and five years for carrying a pistol without a permit. The sentence will be served concurrent, according to the Fairfield Judicial District’s clerk’s office.
