On Monday, Feb. 16, 1981, at 4:14 p.m., Norwalk Police received a call from a father and son construction team that were renovating a house at 2 Nearwater Road in the Rowayton section of Norwalk. They reported finding the body of a naked female in the mud flats at low tide in the Farm Creek inlet about 100 yards west of the Nearwater Road home...
The victim was identified as Scalisi, of 39 Meadow Street, Norwalk, and the cause of death was found to be Asphyxia by Strangulation.

One suspect was described as a white man who drove a yellow jeep CJ-5 with a brown cloth top, police said. He was described as in his late 20s or early 30s, with brown curly hair and a full mustache and about 5-foot-11 and weighing 160 to 170 pounds.
Other prostitutes reported that this man had come around several times looking for Scalisi, saying that she had stolen drug money from him and that he would kill her..
Other motives surrounded the possibility that she had tried to leave her self-proclaimed pimp Donald Rumph, and the murders of prostitutes in New Haven and Bridgeport within the past year.
