Bravo, LE! And CarlK!

Even as a novice, I can see that is very quick work all the way around.

Rest In Peace, Erika. :rose:

Blessings to her family and friends.

Glad to see she was identified so quickly. This does prove not to listen to the amount of time remains are believed to be someplace. She's been missing over 5 years. Good call, Carl.

I wish April's parents (and all really, but especially April's parents) could have the same ability to give their child a proper burial.

I lived nearby when April went missing and am not much older than she. She sticks with me.

She may not have been a saint, but she’s a human being and she’s my daughter

Indeed. So sad for this mother, who will now bury her second child. Wishing her, and her grandchildren nothing but peace.

RIP Erika :rose:

RIP Erika. My heart goes out to her family, especially Mom who never lost hope. :(

rip erika i head heard about the remains being found on the news but i didn't put them together until now. i live about an hr away from where the bones were found. Norwich is very close to the ri border prob about 20-30 minutes away and montville is very close to the 2 casinos in the state

God bless the children, it was heart wrenching to read that part about her boys.

So incredibly sad. I'm glad Erika's been found and can now be laid to rest properly. Prayers sent out for her family and friends.
Also praying the person responsible is found and held accountable to the fullest extent of the law.

Sleep peacefully Erika, you're home now. :rose:

Yeah, given the limited info available, it could be anyone. But I'm not sure I'd take Leinart's word at face value. He might have embellished his account of the murder when describing it to Allain.

April is the only MP that I know of who was missing from Montville. There are a couple more MP's listed from nearby Norwich.

I like looking back on these cases and see if our group was able to pick who might be the missing person. CarlK, you did have her on the list. This makes me feel like we know how to get on the right track. :)

Rest in Peace, Erica. :rose:

The skull, rib cage, and other bones of Erika Cirioni were found in the woods along Oxoboxo Dam Road by a group of kids Sunday.

5 years just like Paige... and again... just happened to be found.
Each time... it again, gives me more hope for all of the other ones.
We may think... there is no hope... but it's only been a year or two in most of those cases.
There is hope they will be found too...

Bumping for Erika. There is a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest & conviction of her killer.

Sounds like her two sons have different dads -- wonder what their alibis are?

Episode 2: Missing person's case becomes a murder investigation

Erika Cirioni's case isn't like the others we've explored on our podcast, "Case Unsolved." While there surely was a crime scene, police never found it. Until March 2012, when some children found her remains in the woods in Montville, she technically was considered a missing person. That was more than five years after she vanished on New Year's Eve 2006.
