He's outside the estimated age range, but the four day interval between last seen and found is very intriguing.

Whoops, also meant to say 165 miles away, not "x miles away." Less than a 3-hour drive. Think it's worth submitting to the Doe Network?

Milford PD still hopes to ID torso found in 1994

On March 24, 1994, a public works employee spotted a military-style duffel bag off the side of Old Oronoque Road, along the Housatonic River.

Inside, the employee found a hotel-style comforter, wrapped around what he thought was human bone. He called police.

Police found a male torso in the bag, with the head, arms and legs nowhere to be found. The torso was dressed in shorts and put into several layers of plastic bags tied tightly with shoelaces.

At first, investigators thought the bag washed ashore from the river, but a closer look showed it was never in the water and had to have been thrown from the roadway.
    ---
Investigators quickly noticed a piece had been carved out of the recovered torso.
“It was likely a tattoo or a birthmark, something that could have helped us identify him,” Warwick said.
    ---
Investigators figured out that the victim was likely around 5 feet 5 inches tall, 25 to 30 years old and weighed somewhere between 130 and 140 pounds, Warwick said.

The torso was found about 24 to 48 hours after the man was killed, Warwick said.
    ---
Skeletal remains were also found nearby on Oronoque Road two years earlier, but Warwick said police don’t believe the cases are related.

Milford PD still hopes to ID torso found in 1994

Reminds me of the Manorville Butcher. Wouldn't surprise me if this is the work of the same person. Perhaps they're from MA or CT and they just take the Port Jefferson ferry to/fro Bridgeport.

Here is the reconstruction they did if the guy. Really so glad they are still interested and brought it up to the public again. I hope the news channels AND or newspapers picked it up. I wish more cases were brought to life and into the pública eye again. It's good because maybe if someone was afraid to say something then now years later they would talk!

Below is a screen shot I took of the recon

That is actually NOT a sketch of our John Doe as his head was never recovered. Photo of sketch is of another John Doe who was found on the same road nearby but 2 years prior, in 1992. More people seems to get confused due to the same location/road.

Here is link to that John Doe thread CT - CT - Milford, AsianMale UP9242, 18-25, skeletal, gunshot wounds to head, Aug'92

The duffel bag looks like Army gear, since it's Army green. The article caption describes it as a "military-style duffel bag." Wonder if the killer was in the Army? (Although you can probably also buy these at Army / Navy surplus stores.)
