Peter Manfredonia charged in deadly spree

Newtown High School graduate and former University of Connecticut student Peter Manfredonia is accused of attacking two men in Willington the morning of May 22, 2020, according to arrest warrants. One victim, Ted Demers, was killed in the attack, and a second man, John Franco, was critically injured but survived, according to authorities.

Two days later, authorities tracked Manfredonia’s movements to Derby, where they found the body of Nicholas Eisele inside a Roosevelt Drive home, according to arrest records.

Manfredonia is also accused of killing Eisele, a fellow Newtown High School graduate, and kidnapping the man’s girlfriend before releasing her in New Jersey, arrest warrants stated.

His case could be close to a plea agreement in the coming months. He is due in the Superior Court of Milford today on the charges related to Eisele's death and will appear in the Superior Court of Tolland on Jan. 27 in connection with the Willington attack.

He looks so different now...
Finally, justice for Mr. Demers and Mr. Eisele, and the other surviving victims.
From the article:

The 26-year-old pleaded guilty to murder, first-degree assault and home invasion before Judge Kathleen McNamara in state Superior Court in Vernon. He will be sentenced on April 20 when he faces 55 years in prison. The victims and their families agreed to the sentence, the state's attorney said.

State's Attorney Matthew Gedansky said the plea deal was part of a "global resolution" for which Manfredonia will serve concurrent time after he pleads guilty next week at state Superior Court in Milford to charges in connection with the Derby killing of Nicholas Eisele and kidnapping of his girlfriend days after the sword attack.
