You can’t see what’s going on in a person’s head. People who are suffering from a psychotic break can act and appear “normal” but they are reacting to abnormal sights, sounds, and/or thoughts going on in their brain. It’s hard to understand if you’ve never experienced it.
What's the definition of "break" in a situation like this? An instant? A spiral down over months or even years? A week?
I'm not seeing how buying a knife hours before an attack negates mental illness, paranoia, etc. These illnesses don't happen in an instant, like in a flash of rage, from what I understand.
Did you watch the video footage perchance?
Slain U.S. Capitol Police officer William “Billy” Evans will lie in honor in the Capitol Rotunda on Tuesday during the second such memorial ceremony this year for a force that has edged close to crisis in the wake of the Jan. 6 insurrection.
President Joe Biden and congressional leaders will attend a midday ceremony for Evans, 41, who was killed April 2 when a vehicle rammed into him and another officer at a barricade just 100 yards from the Senate side of the Capitol. The driver, Noah Green, 25, came out of the car with a knife and was shot to death by police. Investigators believe Green had been delusional and increasingly having suicidal thoughts.

That picture is just so heartbreaking. I can't imagine having to grieve so publicly like that, praying for strength and comfort for the whole family <3
It was a beautiful service, and lawmakers and the President let compassion and celebration of this good man's character shine through in their words. I welled up every time I looked at those little faces and their grieving mama.
