I was reluctant to put this up because of the geography and overall lack of info on either the UID or the MP.

But their facial structures are nearly identical, even in comparison to other Asian females. The three year timeframe is not a problem.

I hate to call in a possible with nothing more than a facial resemblance, but with this UID, we aren't going to be able to get much more than that.

The UID and MP are in process for entry to CODIS.

We'll let CODIS figure it out.

This no-photo MP case for an Asian female was added recently to NamUs.

Susan Maria Ann Cerritelli (AKA "Chinese Sue")
    https://www.findthemissing.org/cases/11620/3

I was discussing a different case with Phillip Petty (i.e., Hal Brown's assistant), I mentioned to him that this case might be worth a look in comparison to the Marydel skull.

    I forwarded him the links.

    :eek:fftopic:
BTW, he also indicated that one of their cases, thought to be a female turned out to be a teenaged male. However, he wasn't able to tell me which case he was talking about. He says that he will get back to me on that.

Hi. I don't remember seeing this case before, but just now I read the current Doe Network updates and it says this case is closed per NamUs. Doesn't say why or how. Carl's possible match, Ms. Cerritelli, is still listed on NamUs so either it's not her or they just didn't take it off yet.

Hal told me that they determined that this skull was a teaching specimen.

They had found wires in the skull indicating that it had been used by one of the schools, probably a medical school in Baltimore.

Wow, I think that is a first here in the UID forum. I don't recall any cases determined to be teaching specimens. It's good to know this isn't someone missing and waiting to be id'd. Thanks for following up on this Carl.

ETA: Ok, I gotta admit. It amazes me it took more than 25 years to determine this skull was a teaching specimen. hmmmm
