Don't know why I thought he was already dead. Wishful thinking?

A look at the old man: François (Papa Doc) Duvalier, who died in 1971. (Wiki)

I highly recommend Alan Whicker's 1968 documentary on Papa Doc:

Neither father nor son will be missed.

Lots of relief (and subdued/not so subdued happiness lol) amongst local Haitian friends and in their community! I grew up with many, many Haitians whose families had to flee and came here during the Duvalier years. It's just too bad that he was never truly held to account for his actions.

Jean-Claude ('Baby Doc') Duvalier - obituary (Telegraph)
    • Jean-Claude ('Baby Doc') Duvalier was Haiti's 'president for life'
whose 15 years of misrule ended in ignominious and extravagant exile

    Gormless.. Excellent description.

If they're going after him posthumously , I wonder why no action against the still-living Michele, whose looting helped destroy the nation?
