Omg I my boyfriend won't even watch tv with me he's always asking "let me guess it's about murder, mystery , or some horrible event" I also try to use the excuse it's because I'm majoring in forensics bahahahahaha I'm a total crime addict

I asked my husband if I should choose "Folks in my life are concerned about me no matter what" and he adamantly stated, "Yes!" I informed him we would start a poll on how concerned WSers were about him and his safety.

I have a bookshelf with a shelf about "how to kill people" because I like to write mysteries. My spouse is remarkably chill about it.

Just found this thread & had to laugh. No one wants to talk current events with me. All I know is who is missing, who died, along with how + autopsy results. I'm fascinated by serial killers & eyes roll backwards when I blurt out "there's a new one!".

I'm sure they'd rather i watched the giraffe.

My hubby hates my true crime stories, but loves all the gory fiction that I don't like. I tell him his stories are based on true crime. He says, "But mine aren't real." Before my ex and I divorced, he told me he thought I read all of those true crime books trying to figure out a way to kill him. Silly man. My sister and I have always shared a passion for true crime, especially Ann Rule's books. We have passed our passion on to our children. One of hers is a police detective. Both of mine follow true crime.

Eh, most people will find it morbid that one should have a hobby like reading cold cases or unresolved crimes, but whatever. I've gotten some remarks that it's "creepy" or "macabre", but that's about it. My partner is too sensible, and does not like it, but I do it anyways because I ain't letting him stop me.

My boyfriend actually told me that he feels I am more 'into' true crime than him! I have been interested in true crime since I was a teenager, and since finding Websleuths truly feel that I have found 'home' and my 'tribe.' I'm not sure WHY the obsession.. whether it is reading books about it, watching dvd's about it, or visiting this site.. but I have 'true crime' anything on my list as things that interest me. The other things are cats, food, and second-hand shops (Goodwill, Salvation Army, recycle shops, etc

I long for a world in which there is no crime. I would be perfectly happy watching pregnant animals and baby animals.

Life would be much more pleasant if we did not have horrific and heartbreaking crimes to follow.
