Dog's breakfast, grasping at straws, our own agendas...whatever the phrase, I think the JBR forum has strayed a long way from the examination of the evidence to almost entirely speculation town.
I'm certainly not criticising anyone, we're all here for the same reason hopefully (certain past members excluded!), but I wonder whethere we need to have a few new threads actually returning to the evidence without the input of personal beliefs or unqualified assertions made based on "a feeling".
It's no good taking steps from A to B to C through to Z if we made an assumption at B based on zero evidence or historical information.
It's been nearly 24 years. It may be time to start some of these threads from scratch without the 'opinions'.
Tell me to pull my head in if I am overstepping my member status, but I think we could do better.
