Public defender re-appointed to Mark Redwine murder case

Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2020 3:05 PM

The defense team for Mark Redwine, a Vallecito man accused of killing his son, Dylan, grew this week after a Colorado judge allowed an attorney to re-enter the case after the dismissal of a criminal complaint against the public defender.

Redwine will be represented by three attorneys instead of two now that District Court Judge Jeffrey Wilson has acknowledged Colorado public defender John Moran’s renewed ability to provide effective counsel in the second-degree murder case.

I hope the judge is not limiting testimony and closing/opening arguments. I hope we have a judge that doesn't like to shake hands with defendants after mistrials, etc. Is this going to be the same judge from the arraignment?

Also, I really really hope this is live streamed. Trial by Twitter is horrible.

^^bbm

Unfortunately, it's the laws of Colorado that force Trial by Twitter.

If the Judge approves, we'll likely see Mark's advisement and arraignment hearings.

In Colorado criminal court, those are the only two hearings where Colorado law provides consideration for Enhanced Media Coverage (EMC) i.e., cameras and/or streaming.
