FBI officials have released images of two suspects in Mondays Boston Marathon bombings which killed three people and wounded more than 170.
Theyre asking for the publics help in identifying the two men who were seen wearing ball caps and wearing knapsacks and walking through the marathon crowd on Boylston Street toward the finish line.
For more than 100 years, the FBI has relied on the public to be its eyes and ears, special agent Richard DesLauriers said at a news conference on Thursday afternoon in Boston. We know the public will play a critical role in identifying and locating these individuals.
Somebody out there knows these individuals as friends, neighbours, co-workers or family members, DesLauriers said. Though it may be difficult, the nation is counting on those with information to come forward and provide it to us.
But he cautioned the public not to approach the suspects, saying theyre considered armed and extremely dangerous.
