No one’s identified him since. It has been nearly 16 years since the the body of man known to authorities only as “Maritime John Doe” was found floating in the Atlantic Ocean east of the Boynton Inlet. On Tuesday, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office released a new sketch and photos of a tattoo in hopes that someone from the public can help identify him. On Sept. 7, 2003, the body was found floating about 5 miles east of the Boynton Beach Inlet." "The man was white and estimated to be between the ages 65 and 75, the sheriff’s office said. He was 6 foot 1 inch and 175 pounds, with hazel eyes and reddish-brown hair. The man had a distinctive maritime-style tattoo on his right forearm. Investigators are attempting to determine the tattoo’s origin and meaning."
