The scene in this neighborhood is pretty large. A lot of police still out here searching for Braxton and Bri’ya

One mile up the road inside the Walkers Hamlet subdivision, large groups of police went door-to-door handing out flyers with pictures of the missing children. Neighbors like Michelle Rodriguez said officers were also checking behind homes and even searching a retention pond.

“I’m devastated, scared, hoping they are found safe and come back home,” Rodriguez said. "I have kids of my own so I can just imagine what’s going through the family’s mind and how they are responding to this.”

They’re going through the worst nightmare a parent could go through, and they deserve prayers and support from the community, every eye open, paying attention, reporting what might have been seen,” Davis said.

“We might be involved but we might not,” Porter said. “We just want to make sure because we want these kids to get home safe."

The one who actually finds the remains or the body, it does take its toll on you, I think," Wilkie said.

Knowing Christmas is a little more than a week away, the timing of a child's disappearance is something not only felt by loved ones but those in law enforcement, too.

"It's a time of family, reflection for what you're thankful for and how your life is progressing and how the kids are coming along," he said. " Now all of a sudden, this. It's something psychological for the officers."

The most important tool when it comes to the recovery of a missing child is a photo of that child," he said. "But it needs to be an accurate photo that you can hand over to law enforcement and they can send out to the media and try to get as many eyeballs on that image as possible.”

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office told First Coast News that they do not need volunteers to assist with the search for Braxton and Bri'ya Williams at this time.

Volunteers - even from hours away from Jacksonville - are showing up at one of its staging area at Whitehouse Baptist Church, 24 Celery Ave. North, JSO said.

JSO told First Coast News it's not sure how the public got that information, but requests volunteers hold off for now.

"JSO appreciates the community's desire to help in the search for these children, however, we are not organizing formal community search efforts at this time," according to a tweet.

Right now everything is an option. We are working multiple scenarios,” Williams said.

Police are working to pull surveillance video. If anyone living nearby has a working home surveillance camera, they are encouraged to reach out to police.

Right now over 150 investigators are working to locate five-year-old Bri'ya and six-year-old Braxton Williams.

Police say they are now pulling surveillance video to look for clues.

Investigators have not ruled out foul play. They are also considering the children could have wandered off.

The search is expected to resume Tuesday.
Some parents News4Jax spoke to say they’re fearing the worst; that the children could have been abducted. In a Monday afternoon press conference, Jacksonville Sheriff Mike Williams said searchers “have found nothing.”

Searchers are looking everywhere at one point focusing on a wooded area just north of the west Jacksonville neighborhood.

The kid's grandmother said she doesn't think that is an area they would visit.

"Never knew them to go in there, I just don't think they'd go off there. I just hope no one took them," Lloyd said.

The sheriff stressed that with nothing to go on, not a witness or anything captured on surveillance cameras, they must consider any and all possibilities.

"Abandoned cars, we have a significant number of abandoned trailers in this complex, they are 5 and 6, so if they did walk away, think about that, but anything in the area that we would attract kids to play, we're looking at that."

NEW THIS MORNING: The search for 5-year-old Bri’ya Williams and 6-year-old Braxton Williams is still ongoing. The crime scene tape blocking their street has been taken down, but it looks like JSO vehicles have parked out front of the home. Still no leads as to where they may be.
