I think Sarah Estes looks like a real good possible. I was at first a bit skeptical because of the four-year lag, but the fact that she was on the run with her husband provides a plausible explanation.

The Tinze Huels case doesn't look like as plausible an explanation for the over six-year lag.

Everything lines up well. Good work Snufu.

Here is one with a one-year lag, and a less-than-ideal match on the physical descriptors, but she looks somewhat like the UID.

Here is another, with a bit closer match on the physicals and the timeframe.

Lurline Bergeron (Ignore - I messed up the timeframe)

I still like Sarah Estes better as a possible.

Sarah Estes is indeed a good potential match!

Btw: Lurline Bergeron went missing in July 1991, so she cannot be Valentine Jane Doe.

Ms. Estes was in the Jan. 1, 2010 update on NAMPN. She is not listed anywhere else as far as I can find- the only thing that doesn't jive is her age-she would have been 29, everything else is on and there is a possible Florida connection.

Thoughts? or other possible matches for Valentine Doe?

Sara May Estes

Side by Side:

Wow. I think Sara is a great possibility. I would submit it...

Nice work!

I wouldn't count Lurline out, Blue Bandana Girl LKA date was after she was found dead, and I can't remember if Lurline has been ruled out already, so I say she's still in until we can prove otherwise.

I do like Ms. Estes for the simple fact, she's never been out there for anyone to consider before 2 days ago.

I agree on sarah estes, find it doubtful a 13 year old girl would have multiple tattoos plus the 30-40lb deviation in weight makes it more unlikely

oddly there are two different namus profiles for UIDs found on the same date and same age bracket in Monroe County FL and possibly the two were confused on this thread. It sounds like they are describing two different women.

the first is case # 6182 and says the UID 5'7", 145 lbs and was found in Big Coppitt Key:

https://identifyus.org/cases/6182

This one says the UID was 5'4", 130 lbs and was found in the mangroves south of the Spanish Channel Bridge:

https://identifyus.org/cases/1167

The Namus profile for the latter UID refers the reader to Doe Network profile for 49UFFL, which was listed in this thread for case # 6182.

now I am totally confused.

I think they're both the same Jane Doe case because they have the same clothing, ovarian cysts, and tattoos. I don't know which height and weight is correct, so now I'm confused too!

I did submit Sara Estes, but never got any response to any emails or calls at all. :(

Sarah May Estes looks like a really great match for this Jane Doe in my opinion. I think that you should re-submit to Louisville, KY LE. Nice work Snuf!

I've looked everywhere (or so I thought!) for a WS thread on this girl and as far as I could see there was none. This is a case I check up on often and so far no result. If there is a post already about this girl, I'm sorry!
All of the following info was taken from the Doe Network.
http://www.doenetwork.org/cases/49uffl.html

Unidentified Female
•Located on February 15, 1991 in Big Coppitt Key, Monroe County, Florida.
•Date of Death: February 14, 1991
•Cause of death was homicide; the victim had been strangled.

Vital Statistics
•Estimated age: 16 - 25 years old
•Approximate Height and Weight: 5' 4"; 145 lbs.
•Distinguishing Characteristics: Dark brown straight hair, cut just above the collar; brownish/green eyes. She was a nonsmoker. The victim's ears were pierced four times each. The victim may have carried a baby to full-term. Stretch marks on abdomen. She was suffering from ovarian and fallopian tube cysts, which may have been causing her abdominal pain.
•Tattoos: She had two tattoos; one, was the word "Love" encircled by a heart, on upper left arm. The other tattoo was a cross with sun rays emitting from the center. It was located between the thumb and forefinger of her left hand.
•Clothing: The victim's clothes were found near her body. It was a knitted, long-sleeved, blue, purple and red-striped Forenza sweater; Big Yank knee length, blue denim shorts; and black Clicks' moccasin-style booties with red stitching & some turquoise-style bead work, Click brand, size 6 1/2B. Sold by Baker Shoes in 1989.
•Jewelry: She wore a Times watch with silver band on the right arm and had 2 earrings in left ear (1 silver ball, 1 white pearl like), 4 earrings in right ear not described.
•AKA: "Florida Jane Doe"; "Valentine Jane Doe".
•Dentals: She had excellent dental care; 1 filling, around age ten she had a molar extracted. Records are available.
•DNA: Available in CODIS.

Case History The victim was located in a dense wooded area near a frequently used illegal campground on West Summerland Key, just south of the Bahia Honda Channel Bridge on February 15, 1991.
Windsurfers camping in the area near Bahia Honda State Recreation area, located near mile marker 35 on US 1 in the Florida Keys, made the discovery of the girl. Her body was laying on a dirt trail in a heavily wooded area. She was beaten and strangled to death with her bikini top. Her face was bruised by a beating, apparently when she was killed.
Investigators believe the victim was raped, but that has not been proved. An autopsy determined Florida Jane Doe had been killed the day before on Valentine's Day.
Detectives got tips early on and learned that Florida Jane Doe had been seen by motorists hitchhiking along US 1 in the Keys. Because of her clothing especially the sweater and moccasins, she stood out. Based on the information, police determined on Valentine's Day the girl was in Key West and walked northbound on US 1 on Big Coppitt Key, about ten miles north of Key West. She was seen by another eyewitness at mile marker 15 and around 18:30 that night at mile marker 17.

Her clothing was not typical of someone who was from South Florida, and she did not have any tan lines at all. Another indication she was visiting: She didn't wear tennis shoes or sandals.

Looking through the Doe Network I stumbled upon this girl... the time is a bit off, but would make sense since she was a runaway. Also, her age & height would match in 1991, weight could change, along with tattoos and piercings. In Valentine's JD profile its said her clothes are of a person from outside of FL. This would fit as well.

I don't see it. They have entirely different facial shapes. Valentine Jane Doe has a much shorter, turned up nose. Aundria has a very long nose with very little upturn.

BTW, I am in frequent contact with Aundria's biological mother, and she is quite active in trying to find out what happened to Aundria (who was born Alexis Miranda Badger).

The Seminole Tribe of FL holds a festival every February.

http://articles.sun-sentinel.com/1991-02-08/features/9101070668_1_moccasins-festival-stitching

http://articles.sun-sentinel.com/19...717_1_seminole-tribe-festival-grounds-chickee

"To aquaint some of the 13,000 festival-goers with the Seminole heritage, a mock Seminole village was created on the festival grounds at Stirling Road and State Road 7."

I do think there is a thread here at WS for this Doe, btw.

ETA: I can't locate a thread for her here either. Maybe I have just read her case so many times at NamUs that I think it was here?
Let me see if I can find it.
