Amy had extensive dental work, and I don't think that would translate to "one filling"--

But aside from that I see a good resemblance. It's worth a try.
 
I went through the DoeNetwork to submit her as a possible match earlier this year. I received an email shortly after stating that she had already been submitted, however they were going to ask them to take a second look. I haven't heard anything since. Not sure if I need to give them a nudge or find the contact information for the UID and MP cases and send an email myself.
 
I'm not sure if anyone has come across the possible link to Ruth Leamon from California (disappeared 1982) that coincidentally had a cross tattoo on her hand like Valentine Doe.

I recently submitted this to the Doe Network that confirmed that Ruth had been ruled out.
 
I checked Tavia's and the UID's NamUs page and found that there isn't an email contact listed for either case managers. I believe that's why I went through the Doe Network earlier. I don't feel comfortable calling it in, but if one of you would like to, the contact numbers are listed in the NamUs pages Roselvr listed above. If someone decides to make the call, I definitely think Sara Estes should be mentioned for a second look.

Sarah Estes is not in NamUs. Was thinking of entering her yesterday but didn't. Had to upgrade my mac

Of the many possible comps here on the thread, I still think that Tavia Bailey and Sarah Estes are still the most likely matches to Valentine Jane Doe. I know there's been discussion on this thread about a second look at Sarah Estes...

I'm posting a comparison, which even I think may be a long shot. I was reading about the Lori Erica Ruff case on Reddit and someone mentioned the possibility of a comp between a missing person, Cynthia Lorraine Perry and Lori Erica Ruff. I don't think Cynthia Perry is a good match with Lori Erica Ruff b/c there's like a 5" height discrepancy...
but I did think of Cynthia Perry for Valentine Jane Doe b/c NamUs profile states that Perry had a tattoo of a heart on her upper left arm:

Circumstances of Disappearance
Lori was living in a group home in Raleigh. She had been dealing with family and other issues and had been living out of her home off and on since the age of 14.
She and her mother spoke on the phone and argued because Lori wanted to attend a party. Approximately 15 minutes later, the staff called her mother to let her know that Lori had gone.
Two weeks later she called her Mom to let her know she was OK and that she wouldn't come to see her until she was 18. She said she was free of drugs and OK. It was the last time Lori and her mother would speak.
Lori has never been seen or heard from again.

Has anyone ever considered Christina Hermert of Germany as a match for Valentine Doe? http://www.doenetwork.org/cases-int/1062dfdeu.html She was 5' 4" and was listed as having had children. Was in the process of leaving her husband and trying to get sole custody of her kids. She disappeared January 20, 1990. I don't believe there was any mention of tatoos or piercings, but those could have been added upon her arrival to the States? I know a lot of Europeans come to California and Florida for the sunshine, so it's possible that she might have, too, hence the lack of tan lines?

She disappeared from Michigan in 1991, maybe. The details of her disappearance seem sketchy at best and she wasn't reported missing until 13 years(!) later. But what really caught my attention was her very wide-set eyes. I also noticed the same thing in most of the uids' reconstructions. Age is right, weight and height are a bit off, but I the recollection of the person giving the report could been wrong, after 13 years. And she is definitely not from Florida. She also appears to have shoulder length, dark hair in the picture. (But the picture isn't very good, and there's no telling how recent the picture was to her disappearance.

I like this potential match, except for that problem with the date. I think it's worth trying to find out how firm that date is.

She has DNA in NamUs so easy to rule in/out
 
I helped out on this case when I was in LE. I have always maintained that VJD was not from the United States - Poland, maybe, somewhere like that.
