Man reported missing in Indian River County

One mother is looking for answers after her son went missing in Indian River County earlier this month.

Brandon Gilley, 23, was last seen at a Winn-Dixie store in Sebastian on April 7, his mother, Tammy Gilley, said in an interview with TCPalm.

Tammy Gilley said over the past few days her family has traveled from Brevard County to Palm Beach County searching for him, and posted fliers. She said she's terrified, especially since she's worked on other missing persons cases as a former investigator.

"I just know he's not with me anymore. I just feel it," Tammy Gilley said.

She said her son had about three months left of probation after he was arrested in 2014. Since then, Brandon Gilley has worked as an electrician. She said Brandon was excited to finish his probation, and was considering moving out of state for work after he completed it.

Gilley drives a 2002 black Chevy Cavalier.

Missing 23-year-old's car found in Palm Bay; Mom: 'I may never find out what happened'

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — The car belonging to a 23-year-old who went missing 10 days ago was recovered Saturday in Palm Bay, police said.

The 2003 matte black Chevrolet Cavalier he was driving was recovered Saturday about 5:30 p.m. on Wesday Road, a residential street in southeast Palm Bay.

Police checked the area for evidence and towed the car for further investigation, said Steve Bland, spokesman for the Palm Bay Police Department.

No other details about the car's discovery were made public.

Maj. Eric Flowers, spokesman for the Indian River County Sheriff's office, said they are continuing to follow up on leads.

"We are actively searching," he said Tuesday.

Tammy Gilley pleaded anyone with knowledge of her son's whereabouts come forward.

"If anybody has seen my son or knows anything about my son, please, I’m begging you, contact me. Just contact me, please," she said.

Gilley told News 6 she flew in from Maine last week after she learned that her son, Brandon Gilley, a recovering alcoholic, had been missing for six days.

I met Brandons mother a couple of days ago in a Dollar Store. She gave me a flyer and told me his story. She did say in the 2 years of being on probation he was drug free. But an area he had been in (Grant, Fellsmere) are known for drug activity. Super nice lady but very realistic.

Man from Sebastian missing since April

Brandon Gilley hasn't been seen since April 7. He was last seen at the Winn-Dixie on Sebastian Boulevard that afternoon.



The sheriff's office found his car, a 2003 Chevy Cavalier. Investigators want to hear from anyone who has seen his car during the time he vanished. They say to call Det. Chris Cassinari at 772-978-6256.
