[h=1]Officers seek help identifying dead man pulled from ocean[/h]
The Broward Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help to identify a man found floating in the ocean off Lauderdale-by-the-Sea.

The dead man was pulled from the water after 5 a.m. Saturday.

A fisherman on Anglin’s Pier, off Commercial Boulevard, called 911 when he spotted the body.

Waves carried the body close to the shore where deputies were able to pull it out of the water.
The dead man was thought to be in his 40s and was fully clothed, detectives said. His body was taken to the Broward County Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.

Deputies later pulled the man, who was fully clothed and believed to be in his 40s, from water, Concepcion said.

Concepcion said the body was taken to the Broward County Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

Anyone with information about the identity of subject is asked to call the Broward County Regional Communications non-emergency line at 954-764-HELP.

We lost a few people at see a few weeks ago here in NJ. Don't think that would work with the currents though.

Man found floating in ocean was known as 'Joe Navy,' relatives say

It wasn’t unusual for Kevin Dion Graham to disappear for days at a time, said Kerlyn Graham, his wife of 18 years.

“This is typical for Kevin. When he needs to clear his head, he’ll go away for a few days,” said Graham, of Lauderdale Lakes.
She had trained herself not to fret when the 52-year-old retired naval officer would take off like he did Friday night.
But this time was different. She was notified by authorities Sunday morning that his body was found floating in the ocean near the Commercial Boulevard pier early Saturday.
“That’s what was so hurtful about this whole episode; the fact that we didn’t know that something had happened to him and they were trying to identify him,” she said Monday night. “We had zero clue, because that was something normal for him to do, to just go away.’’
