GUILTY FL - Diana Duve, 26, Vero Beach, 19 June 2014 *Arrest*

The good news is that I no longer think it is the same guy I worked with.

Her, and his, friends say this is the same Michael Jones...yet no one seems to be able to find his credentials.

If you Google just his e-mail there is a link to the Treasure Coast (Vero Area) chapter of University of Georgia Alumni Association, which is sounds like he runs. It also says he got a BBA in 05 and an MPA in 07

Also, A friend of his told me that he told her he went to the University of Washington in St. Louis for law school.

rumor on fb says house he was renting has been "cleaned out". No confirmation though. Does anyone know the facts so far?The timeline specifics?

Fort Pierce is not far, maybe 15 miles or so to the south of Vero Beach.

Whoa, what? Another missing woman? So they're not sure if LE activity is for Jones or for the guy connected to the other woman?

We have a scanner thread in the basement. I'll go down and see if I can hear anything.

ETA: Nothing on scanner. Tried Indian River County and St Lucie County.

Here's the post about the BOLO on the St Lucie County scanner page:

The other missing woman is Bridget Feacher, also from Vero Beach; her car was found burned yesterday at Pineapple Joe's in Fort Pierce. Nothing in MSM about her yet.

Jones is now in custody, booked 6/23/14 at 3:27am by Fort Pierce PD:

Looks like they're holding him for probation violation on his prior stalking charge.

The *vfosc* designation stands for "Violent Felon of Special Concern":

http://www.avvo.com/legal-guides/ugc/what-is-a-violent-felon-of-special-concern

Florida’s “Anti-Murder Act" created the designation of “violent felony of special concern" or VFOSC. Ultimately, a VFOSC constitutes a person who is on felony probation or community control for a qualifying substantive offense, generally involving violence or a threat of violence.

This designation primarily concerns one’s ability to get bond for a violation of probation for anything other failure to pay fines, restitution or cost of supervision. The court is barred from releasing the accused with bail pending the resolution of the probation or community control violation. Ultimately, a VFOSC cannot be given bond or bail until the VOP or VOCC is resolved.

I'd think this is unlikely b/c it's an hour-ish away, but since I saw it watching an earlier update on Diana, I thought I'd post it on the off chance it ends up being connected.

An hour-ish is feasible. He's had several days to figure out where to put her. You know, allegedly. The video at the link says LE was called to the house at 8:18 last night.

I wonder if he was in possession of one or both of the vehicles when he was picked up.

It really isn't too uncommon there to go to WPB, or north. Vero/Ft Pierce has a lot, but people travel that whole coast for other places to go because it doesn't take that long. Last night I was looking all up and down that coast for stories of victims being found.

Her mom is saying on FB that she was found deceased. Ugh. Waiting for more news.

Is she the one found in the abandoned house.?
How very sad.

These things should not happen!
