Almost sounds like he wanted to get caught. Jmo

I agree.
Its the only thing that is making sense right now. I have a feeling he was wanting to get caught and was tired of the sick games he was playing. He was probably contemplating moving back to NYC and maybe he realized he would eventually get caught anyway so I think he was purposely doing things carelessly to get caught.

I think he may have befriended his manager and employees where he worked and wanted them to be the ones to maybe get the reward money.

Its the only thing that makes sense because he could have left the gun in his car.

I remember that discussion and there is one interview where the news lady that was at the scene that I cannot find right now where she talks to a gentleman who was in the McDs when it happened where he more or less says something similar. Its hard to understand him and another lady cuts him off and begins to talk to the reporter. If we can find that interview and try to understand what the first male is saying he talks about what the suspect said as he handed the gun over.

I'd like to know what evidence they actually have.

They're doing ballistics on the gun to compare with the weapon used to kill the victims. They've also gathered evidence from the clothing and possessions in his car. It's alleged they found possible blood evidence on an item of his clothing. If it doesn't match, they'll drop the charges, but they seem pretty sure they have the right person.

So glad LE has charged him.

I am going to guess that the move to Florida was one of the triggers for him. Lots of New Yorkers end up moving to Florida and I have to wonder if he didnt want to move there.

The suitcase in the car seemed like he may have been planning to move back on his own or something. The motive of him doing the killings may have been him simply acting out because of the move to Florida.

He was obviously a very disturbed individual.

So glad LE has the right guy behind bars.

So glad he did get caught before he moved, if that was his plan. The luggage could also have his gear/disguise in it. He seemed to have a beard in the surveillance video, perhaps he taped/glued one on for the murders to throw police off.

I read something about a police press conference this morning at 10 a.m. Anyone else hear that? Does anyone have a link to that?

Thats the video. Thank You so much for finding it.

If you can make out what the first gentleman is saying it sounds like the suspect told them not to tell anyone until he was gone.

The sister said until he was on the plane and gone. He could've destroyed or hidden the evidence but IMO he wanted them to find it and identify him. Maybe his motive was to destroy his own family?

Wow, great news !!
May the victims now rest in peace, and their loved ones know that justice will be served.

I must say I'm a bit surprised. This guy seems to come from a good family, has a university degree, and his face above does not display a hardness...he has an open expression (though that's just one photo)

The big question is WHY??

His poor parents and family...they have to be in utter shock. My heart breaks for them too.
I realize that killers can look completely normal and be full of charisma. However, the last two mass shooters had an unsettling look to me. They were people I might avoid getting near had I come across them. This guy likely would not have raised any alarm bells with me. I guess that's part of how he got this far.

And looking at pictures of him with his mom, I just feel for her. She had a beautiful, successful family that she was clearly proud of. I just don't get it, what could have caused him to do this.

Arrest report details evidence that led police to suspect in Seminole Heights slayings

http://www.tampabay.com/news/public...uspect-in-Seminole-Heights-slayings_163105591

Ballistics and cell phone evidence.

A forensic analysis by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement concluded that shell casings from the first three murder scenes were fired from a Glock handgun that Donaldson admitted to purchasing on Oct. 3 at Shooter’s World on East Fletcher Avenue in Tampa, the report says. Store receipts showed he picked up the gun four days later, after a mandatory waiting period, along with a 20-round box of SIG brand Smith & Wesson .40 caliber ammunition.

Data obtained from Donaldson’s cell phone showed he was in the area of 1300 E Frierson Ave., in Southeast Seminole Heights, on dates and times that corresponded with the first three murders. Other cell records showed that within minutes of those first murders, on Oct. 9, 11 and 19, Donaldson’s phone was "geographically associated" with an AT&T tower that provided coverage for the areas that include all four murder locations.

Im just so happy for the people in that community. They can now rest easy during the Christmas holidays.

Prayers for the victims and victims families. Such a senseless tragedy for them.

An alternate theory: Maybe he thought he could set up a co-worker to be arrested. He may have thought someone at work, in possession of the gun, would take the blame. Leaving for NY indicates he planned to escape to avoid prosecution, so IMO he probably didn't feel any guilt about the murders. He knew LE was getting close and he wanted to get away. Typical serial killer.

Press Conference:

Do NOT believe he wanted to be caught.

"Sure" he is the right guy.

Admitted to owning the gun.

Did not admit to murders.

Why would he leave his bag with the person. That is the question.

His LinkedIn shows such a good background, career-wise.

One video of his arrest showed a limp, which was commented on by many from the surveillance videos. I wonder if basketball was his life and an injury took him away from it. I'm also curious the NY arrest details. What could cause him to lose his medical job in May and work at McDonald's now?

I echo the thoughts you all share above -- his poor family. I wonder if they had any clue.

Reading about the victim's families arriving at the scene, being interviewed in their son's room, driving down from SC, and having to have buried a husband are completely heartbreaking. I'm so glad the killer has been caught.

So yesterday when this went down we were hearing he told the manager not to call the cops until he was on a plane and gone. Anyone remember that? Wonder if there's any truth to it.

I remember that, but it may have been misheard. "Hold this, don't look inside, going to payday loan" may have sounded like "hold this 'til I'm on a plane and gone." All total speculation and supposition on my part.
