Police said they need your help locating an Orlando woman missing since Thursday. Family and friends of Michelle Parker are now fearing for the worst.

Authorities found her missing SUV Friday in west Orlando, but couldn't find any sign of her.

A foot search of the area is planned for today, and volunteers are asked to gather at the command post to help comb the area. The command post is just off Orange Avenue a few miles south of downtown Orlando.

Police "are conducting an extensive area search" for Parker in Belle Isle and Oakridge, said Sgt. Vince Ogburn, OPD spokesman.

ORLANDO -- Family of missing Orlando mother Michelle Parker are pleading for anyone with information to come forward in the case.

Parker’s family told News 13 police believe Parker may be the victim of a carjacking. Parker's family also said police have cleared her ex-boyfriend as a suspect.

The last time anyone heard from Michelle Lee Parker was Thursday afternoon, when she sent a text message to her family member saying she was at Waterford Lakes — an area south of UCF very popular with students for shopping.

Michelle Lee Parker was last seen at 4 p.m. on Nov. 17 by friends in South Orlando. Parker is described as a 5-foot 5-inch white woman with short dark brown hair.

Last Saturday, more than 100 volunteers gathered at Jesse Black's Saloon in Orlando to search the area. Sunday night a candlelight vigil was held and attracted a large crowd of people praying for Parker's safe return.

Police say Smith was among a gang of seven people, mostly teens, that were looking for a fight over Memorial Day weekend, 1992. The gang jumped two men as they were leaving a nightclub in downtown Orlando and one of the men was stabbed to death, police said.

Smith was never accused of the stabbing, but the victim's brother says he believes Smith was the leader of the gang.
