FL - One Yr Old Twins Tied Up By Parents

Police came to the home in reference to an active warrant investigation by the Clay County Sheriff's Office. Upon arrival, they met 22-year-old Kaitlynn Turner and her husband Michael Turner, 24.

"They told us the person we were looking for wasn't there and invited us inside," said PCSO Deputy Hancel Woods.

Inside, deputies say they discovered twin 1-year-old boys tied up with pantyhose and a scarf. One child was face down with his hands tied behind his back and the other was on his back with his legs tied. Both had bruises covering their bodies. A 2-year-old boy was also found at the residence not bound.

Police say all three boys were wearing heavily soiled diapers.

I know this is a local story, but it's in my backyard (so to speak) and I find it very distrubing.

So, according to the above article, DCF stated that this was an on-going investigation....WTH? So, once again we have children being abused and neglected by biological parents and the DCF did not take these toddlers out of the home for their own protection. When is something going to be done with DCF? How many more children are going to be abused and even murdered?

Wait a minute... the cops came looking for someone else, that person wasn't there, they didn't have a warrant or anything....
So instead of just letting them leave, these parents INVITED them inside? :waitasec:

I won't be surprised if one claims the other was abusing them AND the kids. Because inviting them inside is just TOO weird.
I wonder WHO invited them in? Who actually SAID "come on in." Him, or her?
Maybe one or both of them were actually TRYING to get the kids taken out of there. :waitasec:

I don't think it was an ongoing investigation BEFORE the cops went in there. I think it is STILL ongoing now.
As in they aren't done just because they arrested these two.

The police report says Kaitlynn Turner tied up one of the boys' legs so that he wouldn't grow up bowlegged.
And the other boy was in a dirty playpen on his stomach with his hands tied together, struggling to hold his head up.

I couldn't find any updates, either! What happened to these kids? Did they get adopted? Did the parents get convicted??

I did find out, though, that it was the mother who invited the cops in. They could see a man through the window, and she invited them in so they could see it definitely wasn't the man they were looking for. And then she admitted tying the kids up! Looking at the booking photo, I wonder if she was high on drugs and that's why she was stupid enough to invite them in. JMO.
