On Sunday, the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office was still trying to identify a dead man found floating face down in a canal near John Prince Park.

The body was found floating in the Keller Canal west of Lake Worth about 5 p.m. Monday by someone walking a dog, deputies said.

The unknown man was in the water for less than a day and appears to be the victim of an accidental drowning, investigators said.

His finger prints have been searched and missing person reports have been viewed to no avail.

"He had not been in the water for a long time," said Detective Steven Ultsh. "It appears he was intoxicated and possibly slipped in and drowned in the canal."

The county seems to be using Namus but he is not in it.

I wonder if there was any fishing gear nearby. Did they take any DNA or photos? It seems like they could have produced a sketch or something. Perhaps someone would recognize him.
