An elderly man missing from Dixie County apparently disappeared with just the clothes on his back.
Robert G. Soller, 76, of Old Town, was last seen in Dixie County in early September, possibly a few days before his birthday on Sept. 14, said his oldest daughter, Barbara Baker.

Man arrested in possible shooting death of disabled former Marine

The set of human remains found late Tuesday in Dixie County may take days or weeks to positively identify, but investigators said they are fairly certain they belong to a missing Old Town man and that he may have been fatally shot.

    [snip]

Skeletal remains were found late Tuesday in a wooded area near Purvis Landing, which is a few miles from the home of Robert G. Soller, 76. Soller, a disabled man, disappeared in early September with just the clothes on his back. The remains will be taken to Gainesville for identification.
