    Good latest news about the weather.

    I unfortunately have to run an errand now, so I am setting my DVR right now.

    Best wishes for a safe and successful launch today.

    Weather is still iffy. New showers popping up over Brevard co. and the space complex , moving easterly. still questionable for today.
    ugh.

    except for a batch of showers with Lightning 11 miles west of launch pad, things look good.
    Lightning can't be within 10 miles of launch.
    Talk about a close call.

    Watching on YouTube. I remember watching Apollo launches with my dad in the 60s. I was a bitty little thing then.

    “3:31 p.m.: Stage 2 propulsion 'still good'
    The astronauts are now in Stage 2 of the launch and the propulsion was "still good," NASA said.

    3:22: Successful liftoff for NASA astronauts aboard SpaceX Dragon

    The SpaceX Demo-2 successfully launched NASA astronauts Robert Behnken and Douglas Hurley, and is making its way to the International Space Station.

    It's a nine-minute ride to reach orbit, and then a 19-hour ride after that, NASA said.”

    Saw the entrails from behind cirrus clouds,
    it zoomed totally across the horizon here.
    you all had the best view. So glad it went off without a hitch.
    Hope the docking goes well tomorrow morning.
    Great Job NASA and SpaceX!!

    Amazing how far space and computer tech has come. Everything from the Astro's suits to the touchscreens in capsule to the 1st stage landing back on the barge.... It's like science fiction compared to NASA on its own ten years ago.

    High Flight
    By John Gillespie Magee, Jr.

    "Oh, I have slipped the surly bonds of earth,
    And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
    Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth of sun-split clouds -
    and done a hundred things You have not dreamed of -
    wheeled and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence.
    Hovering there I've chased the shouting wind along
    and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air.

    "Up, up the long delirious burning blue
    I've topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace,
    where never lark, or even eagle, flew;
    and, while with silent, lifting mind I've trod
    the high untrespassed sanctity of space,
    put out my hand and touched the face of God."
