Jessaka Clark and her husband, Josh, met the seven siblings -- Maria, Elizabet, Guillermo, Jason, Kristina, Katerin, James -- in April 2016 after a case worker asked the couple if they would be interested in adopting them.

"My husband Josh and I both knew that we wanted to adopt children. We had decided this before we even met each other," Clark told Fox News in an email on Wednesday.

For Jessaka Clark, adopting was easy. In fact, it's what she grew up with.

“My parents were foster parents for most of my life, then parents at a children's house, so we always had 10-12 children in the house,” said Jessaka Clark.

The Clarks are hoping that publicizing their story will inspire other people to adopt one of the 13,000 children in foster homes in Georgia.

Four years ago, the children were living in Jesup and the oldest child was 10 when she went to a neighbor asking for help because their mother was gone, Jessaka Clark said.

DM has a sweet video of the adoption day, but they got the dad's name wrong. :sheesh: Other outlets report his name as Josh--not Jim! We'll forgive them this once.

From the article:

Jessaka Clark said the house is fine for their needs now. Four girls stay in one bedroom and four boys share another bedroom. But there is an eighth sibling that the Clarks would like to adopt, who is younger than age 2. The state would require them to have a bigger house before they can take any additional children.

I love these people, so hope they can enlarge their home and bring this younger child into their family. Thank you for sharing this story!
