Putin: ISIS financed from 40 countries, including G20 members
Published time: 16 Nov, 2015 14:29

President Vladimir Putin says he’s shared Russian intelligence data on Islamic State financing with his G20 colleagues: the terrorists appear to be financed from 40 countries, including some G20 member states.

During the summit, “I provided examples based on our data on the financing of different Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) units by private individuals. This money, as we have established, comes from 40 countries and, there are some of the G20 members among them,” Putin told the journalists.

Putin also spoke of the urgent need to curb the illegal oil trade by IS.

"I’ve shown our colleagues photos taken from space and from aircraft which clearly demonstrate the scale of the illegal trade in oil and petroleum products," he said.

“The motorcade of refueling vehicles stretched for dozens of kilometers, so that from a height of 4,000 to 5,000 meters they stretch beyond the horizon," Putin added, comparing the convoy to gas and oil pipeline systems.

It’s not the right time to try and figure out which country is more and which is less effective in the battle with Islamic State, as now a united international effort is needed against the terrorist group, Putin said.

From your link.......

Putin pointed out the change in Washington’s stance on cooperation with Moscow in the fight against the terrorists.

"We need to organize work specifically concentrated on the prevention of terrorist attacks and tackling terrorism on a global scale. We offered to cooperate [with the US] in anti-IS efforts. Unfortunately, our American partners refused. They just sent a written note and it says: ‘we reject your offer’,” Putin said.

Wow thanks WSer for staying up last night and posting great job!

All these young adults with so many things that they will never know like being a wonderful parent, and then the most wonderful feeling of being a grandparent all gone to them.
If they were to put as much effort into living and loving there is no telling what they could become.
It is very apparent they are not stupid. I need to research on what became of just one that planned to be a terrorist but changed his/her mind and what became of them.

Shoot I'm not sure what i am trying to say this morning but it just kills me all the wasted talent that be used for a good cause and not murder of people they know nothing about.

You're welcome.. Research him, Nana. He has been on Fox News doing interviews for months. He has revealed some very enlightening info. At one time he was a very trusted member of the leadership of ISIS. I'm sure that he has had a target on his back for some time. Guess, he has no fear, Nana..

Djamila Khaldi, a 54-year-old cashier who lives near the basilica, was preparing to take her daughter to the airport when the gunfire erupted.

Ms. Khaldi said she was not surprised the police had tracked the suspects to the neighborhood. She said a friend of hers believed she had seen one of the wanted men, Salah Abdeslam, on Monday. “She was terrified and she looked at another woman knowing that she recognized him too,” Ms. Khaldi said. “They did not dare to go to the police.”

Kadyrov Proposes Attacking IS With Detained Terrorists

Russia should start to bomb Islamic State positions with terrorist bodies tied up to drones, said Ramzan Kadyrov, president of Russia's restive republic of Chechnya, on his VKontakte social network page Tuesday.

“I propose attaching detained terrorists to drones attacking IS positions and dropping them on their accomplices heads,” Kadyrov said.

Тhe Chechen leader said that no trials are needed to prove terrorists' guilt.

He also called on law enforcement officials to use all their resources to hunt those responsible for the attack on Kogalymavia flight 9268 over the Sinai Peninsula on Oct. 31.

I can understand living there and being terrified to report. I just wish folks would/could. My Husband and I did from here in Canada. He is Danish and his Aunt in her 80's reported over the summer to us she had a group of Syrians move into her building. Small town in Denmark. There were several of them, well heeled, driving high end cars. Always coming and going. She was to afraid to report. In discussion with a fellow member here who pointed out likely not terrorist due to all the high end. However we wondered about illegal activity and supporters. Anyhoo we reported it here in Canada. Aunt reports they are no longer there. Why I guess we will never know.

Structural changes needed to counter ISIS-ISIL

The system is broken.
Governments and state institutions are increasingly incapable of protecting their own civilians from militants who have become weary of seeing their homelands, friends, relatives, children, livelihoods, futures and institutions obliterated. They are sick of the oppression of their own Western backed governments to the point that death is no longer relevant to them. Until structural cracks in the foundation of the global capitalist system are addressed and repaired, the rewind button will stay locked and organizations like Daesh-ISIS-ISIL-AQ, and ultimately its offshoots, will continue to kill and maim citizens with impunity. They have seen the same done to their own, so why should they spare anyone else?

Isis video: New footage shows militant group celebrating Paris attacks and threatening more violence

The Isis militant group has released a new video in the French language, celebrating the Paris attacks and threatening more violence to come.

The footage, released by the Isis-affiliated Furat media arm, shows two French-speaking militants asked how they feel about the attacks that “killed more than 100 people”.

It shows footage and pictures of the aftermath of the shootings which have been widely available via the media, including video of a police shoot-out with the attackers and images of the bloody scene at the Bataclan theatre.

It’s easy to see Isis as an irrational death cult, argues Charlie Winter – but its motives in the Paris attack were strategic. The group is trying to achieve polarisation in the west, spread fear, spark military action against it and improve its image. If we understand this, we can avoid falling into its trap

Video at link.

• Investigators have recovered multiple cell phones at the scenes of Friday's attacks believed to belong to the attackers, a possible break that could help unravel the plot and the suspected network behind it, counterterrorism and intelligence officials said. According to the officials, at least one phone contained a message, sent before the attacks began, to the effect of: OK, we're ready. Investigators have found encrypted apps on the phones, which appear to have left no trace of messages or any indication of who would have been receiving them, according to officials briefed on the French investigation.
